Many of the dealerships are going to be owned by people with political pull and anyway, it will end up being challenged in the courts for sure, regardless of its legality. Let us see how this drastic measure (suspension of trade license) works to curb this practice.

The trade licence is issued by the Commercial Taxes Department and not by the MVD.The MVD can however recommend Commercial Taxes Department to suspend trade licence of the erring MV Dealers.

More to the point MVD can refuse to accept registrations through the dealership or make owners come personally if they buy from that dealer.

Our lawyer, after peer review has decided to file a petition before National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission,Delhi (National Consumer Forum) since this menace is spread all across India.

Any Judgement passed by this forum is applicable for the entire country and not limited to a particular state.

The draft of the petition will be ready by next Saturday and we aim to file the same by 15th February 2016.

I will keep you all updated on the developments.

Bought New Safari Storme 400nm without Handling charge which was 7.5K.

Mailed the Delhi courts judgement to Dealer & they canceled the Handling charge.

When I had gone to a Mahindra showroom to enquire and TD about the XUV 5OO W10, I was handed the price list that had Rs 7000 as handling charges.

Yes.Send them (dealer) an email with the newspaper articles of SC observations made by Justice Jain.(After u get the required discounts).

If they don't budge,send an email to the customer care with all the details and it should be sorted out.

Last option is to tweet Anand Mahindra and everything will be taken care.
