If I remember correctly all the Ford cars made in India come with the same gearbox family known as IB5. This came first with the Ikon and has been upgraded/reworked etc. This is an universal gearbox in Ford across the globe

ACI always refers to a whine in this GB as a trademark sign of its presence.

It seems even the Focus gets this GB, I am hoping that we will get the Focus here with the 1.0L Ecoboost.

^^ The black grill looks SO MUCH better. The blackened out headlights also look very nice. I wonder why manufacturers hardly offer such headlights in India (even as options).

^^ I agree. That would look so mean on a black coloured exterior. Almost like a stealth machine!

I am not so much a fan of chrome so maybe I appreciate the blackened out headlights. It would be good if other chrome parts were offered in a matt black finish.

Good work on that one. The car looks so much better now. The white lines were a kind of deterrent to my tastes. The flaming red skirt colour only added spice to the flavour. Nice job. Your slight and subtle changes completly transformed the looks of the car.

I hope that Ford is reading these posts and consider making these minor changes to the production model. I guess thats too much of wishful thinking

One of my friends visited the Ford Showroom at Gulbarga yesterday and very strangly and surprisingly the sales guy told him there that the Ecosport had been launched and he will arrange to get him one soon.

I am shocked and surprised as to how could the Ford personell make such irresponsible statement. I am very sure that the Ecosport has not been launched in India as yet but my question is weather it is on the cards in the recent future.

Blackened out headlights, taillights etc would give out lesser light than normal ones. Or if they would have to give out the same amount of light then the bulbs / type of lights would have to be that much more powerfull (read power consuming) to go beyond the darkened lenses and give sufficient illumination. Infact the world is now moving in the opposite direction towards clear lenses.

Hi again evryone, after a couple of tutorial videos and guides I decided to take the matter into my own hands and edit the press release pictures of the Ecosport in various colors off the Fiesta palette.

Pardon me for the shoddy work, I just want many others like me who are eagerly awaiting the Ecosport to be able to visualize it in colors other than the red and orange!

Good job Himanshu, pleasing change for our weary eyes, it was quite monotonous to look at the orange/red Ecosport, this is definitely a welcome change.

My pick of the lot ---> Kinetic Blue (this is my favourite colour) followed by the Diamond White

I guess the car will look menacing in Black (just try and make it shiny like the kinetic Blue); Looks very Sporty in Kinetic Blue. My favorite, Moon Dust Silver looks very dull on the Ecosport. I hope it looks better in flesh.
