The latest scoops of the Ecosport seems to give us some hope of a nearby launch of this little SUV. The hype for this SUV is too big that a justifiable pricing strategy could make this little champion to the List of Top sellers in India.
Hope Ford India won't disappoint us again with the pricing.

Looking at the Scoop pics should we presume that there will not be sunroof even on the top variant. The sunroof should be offered at least as an option.

From the pics below, it looks like the ecosport in India will have beige interiors, which the Fiesta doesn't. I'm not quite against the biege interiors, however don't quite like the black-biege combination in the pictures below. Hope in production-lot, it will be better.

1.0 Ecoboost with 6 speed DCT will not only be a sub 4 meter segment first but also a breakthrough. How many have considered the City, Rapid, Vento, Fiesta Auto but discarded just because of the milage factor. If the claims from the 1.0 EcoBoost is any where close to the numbers doing rounds, it will surely get a lot of attention and surely a lot of urban customers. It will set a trend of new age petrol cars for the City. What would you have always wanted as a urban driver used to say driving for a while.
1. An auto trany that is better than you current manual skills (check)
2. No compromise on the pocket because you have a Auto petrol (check)
3. High stance (check)
4. SUV looks and dynamics (check)
5. Sedan handling (check)
6. Affordable (not sure, but my wish is it will not hit the ceiling)
7. Good dealer network (check)
8. New (my neighbor does not have this kind) design (check)

Some how, I have a feeling if priced well, it will hit both high end hatchs and sedan market. Ford, for once get the $ right and see the magic! Its a good product that can be wasted it you try to play a premium game, it can go the Fabia way!

I have a bad feeling Ford is going to keep it right hand side even for india which will be a bigger ergonomics issue than the French can imagine.

If you park on the left just few feet ahead of a car and open the door you have to throw luggage above the door to someone else stationed on the pavement!

Excellent observation. Something I hadn't thought of at all.

When I read this, I went straight to page 33 of this thread to check out the spy-shots clicked some time in March and the boot-lid handle is indeed on the right-hand-side which means that the hinges are on the left. Doesn't make sense in a RHD country. If they don't do something about it, it's going to end up as one of its quirks.

Ecossport with Automatic transmission? Oh my God, what more can I ask for? Sure, a diesel plant. But I can't wait till that happens. I don't care even if it is petrol. Just got to buy this. Time to sell A-Star AT and go to Ecosport AT. I would try to be among first 5 to own this in my town. Just got to lay hands on something which looks so stunning, before others do.

Stunning looks + ground clearance ( to take on our gigantic bumps ) + AT = .

In the second picture , the gap between the door and body looks odd at the upper half. Looks as though it is broken off and the fitting is not that neat.

Not now...and I have a feeling not ever. Not a traditional 4x4, but an AWD system.

yes, same unit as the Fiesta - so its not new tech for the ford india service guys to understand (something I fear with the ecoboost). Will make sense adding a tuning box to that unit.
