+1 to this. Is the front grille changed too? I did not like the grille at all. Its too big and ugly.

And as GTO mentioned, this needs to rightly priced to hit some decent numbers.

Woaahhhhhh
In love with the ENV !!
Corvette Stingray concept appeared to be a cheap copy of the Jag concept (dont remember the name ) in JLR stands.

Is this a fact? If I understand correctly, the existing 148 bhp one is already BS4 compliant while the new one 163/184 BHP is EURO 5.

Will there be any real value in re-engineering? The Cruze and Captiva combined are not destined to be major volume sellers to justify this move.

Further, I think the Indian public already know that the Cruze is right at the top of the BHP stakes in it's segment and matched only by the Jetta! 163 BHP is overkill (pun intended) both for the occupants and other road-users.

A better choice may be to keep the existing engine but spend on the:

1. Insulation - the engine is simply too noisy; the new Verna has now set the bar for quiet diesels and there is no reason why a 40% more expensive car cannot do the same
2. ICE: While the existing screen is okay-ish, GM should add the colour touchscreen from the US and Australian versions. The incremental cost will not be high due to volumes. We Indians need that wow factor .
3. Tyres: Add better OEM tyres - the JK Vectras are noisy and detract from the experience
4. ESP/Traction Control: Sorely needed IMHO. Everytime the turbo kicks in on less-than-perfect road surfaces, it makes its case.
5. Interiors: Generally spruce up interiors for the 'experience'
6. Horn: Change the horn; totally spoils the road presence!

Re: Chevrolet @ Auto Expo 2012

Would have loved to see the rear seat of the Cruze. Hopefully its a tad bit better than the current lot.

Absolutely loved the Camaro. If only it wasnt a convertible! You know what they say of them convertibles, right?

Re: Chevrolet @ Auto Expo 2012

That EN-V gave me an idea:

I walk out of my building, to see a number of EN-Vs parked in a queue, where I would normally see auto-rickshaws.

Instead of haggling with the auto-drivers on my destination and the fares, I simply enter the first EN-V.

As soon as I am seated, a GPS map shows me the entire city. I select the location where I want to go on the map, and the vehicle starts.

I take a nap, or read a book, or just enjoy the scenery (hopefully there's still some left!) around me as the vehicle travels the most optimized route, avoiding the numerous obstacles and takes me to my destination.

As I reach the destination the fare is automatically calculated and displayed to me. I swipe my card to pay, a receipt is generated which I collect and the doors unlock. I go my way while the EN-V guides itself to the nearest EN-V queue, ready for the next commuter.

Wouldn't that be nice if it were the reality?

Re: Chevrolet @ Auto Expo 2012

Actually the Corvette Stingray reminded me of the Batmobile. Any news on launching the electric Beat in India? Before Karl Sym left GM, in an interview with NDTV, he was playing very coy about it.

Any pictures of the Sail Hatchback? I could just see one single picture of the Chevvy Sail in one of the other posts. Would be happy to see it here.

American muscle being flexed, and how. The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible; the 2SS model on display has a 6.2-liter V-8 with 426 BHP & 569 Nm of torque on tap. If Chevy would revv this engine every 30 minutes, the exhaust note would surely result in 10X the visitors to its pavilion.

Worldwide, upgraded Optra is the Cruze. So I dont think there will be any all new Optra. If there is some new Optra on the way, then it will merely be a facelift with may be some added features. What you can expect is an upgraded next gen Aveo.

Re: Chevrolet @ Auto Expo 2012

Is it just me, or the new Captiva looks just too low slung with the huge bumper and the skirting?

The Corvette and Camaro are droolworthy. The Volt is also NICE!.

Any idea if Chevy Cruze is going to be launched in a petrol variant ?? It would be an excellent car if it would come in that with 160+ Horses !
