Totally agree! A brilliant display from Mercedes.
Wish I was there in person to catch the show!
The Concept A class is definitely a crazy new design.
Kudos!

I agree too!. In my books MB takes the award for the best stall of the auto expo. Seriously, what a display!!

Now only if their dealerships get as good.

Re: Mercedes Benz @ Auto Expo 2012

The DTM car is something else! The C Class looking like that, powered like that, mind = blown!

Merc is also doing a live stream from the venue on their Facebook Page

Totally agree, just last week I was talking to my wife on this. Both of us suddenly started feeling that the current generation Merc (be it the C or the new CLS), looks much better and purposeful than the corresponding competitor from BMW. I feel the facelifted C really have the meat to stand up against the upcoming 3.

Where is the new B-class? I was so hoping 2012 would be the year Merc brings its MFA models to India..

Re: Mercedes Benz @ Auto Expo 2012

For me, this is undoubtedly the best stall out there. Truth be told, this re-ignited my interest in Auto-expo. I specially liked the new design language Of MB. Those sharp lines and their fit finish, gap and flush-ness matching is a really a pain-staking job. .

Re: Mercedes Benz @ Auto Expo 2012

All the CLS stuff is good eye candy. But, any news on release date of Mercedes B Class or A Class - I think for most people that would be the affordability bar.

The rates are guessed to be around 18lakhs. I dont remember the source properly, but i guess its timesofindia/zigwheels. B class wouldnt be so affordable. But, for merc enthusiasts like me, its a good opportunity to atleast try to buy the dream brand. Moreso, the Merc stall in Frankfurt auto show was the showstealer. It got really huge appreciation from world press and also the visiting crowd. It seems, the mercs are trying to get back to their old motto of, "Do the best, or dont do".

Re: Mercedes Benz @ Auto Expo 2012

Now that's what you call a display!

Mercedes, I've noticed, always give it their all at every auto-show. The one thing I've seen is that they'd treat the Indian Auto Expo as seriously as they would, any other auto-show.

Good to see them all-guns-blazing this time round, with concept cars, the S-600 Pullman, an assortment of AMGs, track-racing-cars, a pseudo-off-road course for the SUVs, and even a glimpse of the B-Class that might find its way into our market soon.

Kudos Mercedes!

Re: Mercedes Benz @ Auto Expo 2012

Is it just me or is the Concept A Class design language reminiscent of the flame surfacing of the BMWs? In profile it almost looks like a Z4

Give me the SLS AMG, thats enough. I would need no more and ask no more.

Seriously though, these pictures reminds you why we fell in love with cars in the first place. Awesome.

^^Yes, from the pics, this looks like the best display in the expo. I will be happy with a humble C63 AMG

Re: Mercedes Benz @ Auto Expo 2012

Merc truly displayed sheer power. The color scheme was very elegant, although the crowd, wasn't. The A Class concept was the best part.

The B-Klasse into India will sport the new design released in the Frankfurt auto show. I hope it comes will all the bells and whistles, that one gets in Germany. It would be a real Merc with all its glory. But, inspite of being an hardcore Mercedes fan, I prefer to wait and see if their current C, E and S class bring their fallen name up back to the standards of the W124 days.
