Mercedes Benz was on a roll at the AutoExpo.
They had a full Hall to themselves and had 18 cars on Display !

Highlights:

• Launch of the SLS AMG Roadster
• Launch of the New M Class
• Showcase of future design cues with the Concept A-Class
• Showcase of Fuel Cell Technology
• The Mercedes DTM car and the SLS AMG GT3 car
• Launch of mb.Inspired, their new brand initiative

The New SLS AMG Roadster

Highlights:

• Soft-top version of the SLS AMG.
• 6.3L V8, Power: 571 Hp @ 6800 RPM, Torque: 650 Nm @ 4750 RPM
• 0-100 km/h in 3.8 sec. Top Speed: 317 km/h

The New M-Class

Highlights:

• Increase in length and breadth but a drop in the height as compared to the current M-Class
• A sportier look with the new engine hood design and LED day-light running lights
• ECO start-stop function, which reduces fuel consumption and emissions- by automatically switching off the engine during traffic jams or traffic signals
• ATTENTION ASSIST, that alerts the driver on detection of drowsiness on longer trips
• Active Parking Assist with integrated PARKTRONIC technology

The Concept A-Class

This car showcases future design cues for Mercedes Benz Cars.

The B-Class Fuel Cell car

Highlights:

• Power: 100kW (136 Hp), Torque: 290 Nm
• Can go upto 400 kms on a full tank of hydrogen
• 3 of these vehicles drove around the world covering more than 30,000 kms

Mercedes had the C-Class AMG DTM car and an F1 simulator at the 'Performance Arena'.

C-Class AMG DTM car

Highlights:

• With 81 wins from 148 races this is the most successful DTM car ever
• Full carbon fiber monocoque construction. This is a purpose built racing car. The only similarity with the C-Class are the similar looks
• Full Chrome paint Scheme

S 600 Pullman Guard.









It comes with a massive V12 engine displacing 5.5 L, producing 517 hp of Power and 830 Nm of torque. 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 sec.

A GL-Class and the Current M-Class were there as part of the Mercedes Star Drive program:

Awesome line up by Mercedes. Were there any prices announced for the M class at the Expo? There are also rumors about the price and local assembly floating in the media? Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Lovely pictures of my favourite car.SLS AMG looks awesome in chrome.Considering the langushing state of affairs of Mercerdes Benz in India,this expo must spell success in 2012 for the german car manufacturer.

While all this fanfare is good, it was time they launched the CLS 350CDI, the new model badly needs the CDI motor and better alloys to make it sell better and give justice to this wonderful new product by Mercedes-Benz!

Any prices on the ML? The car personally does not appeal to me at all and unless priced aggressively the car will never set any charts on fire, also do remmeber an all new Q7 is due later this year and the BMW X5, in 2013,

Now THIS is what you call an Auto Expo stall!

I never fancied myself a Benz man, always leaning towards the Bimmer but recently have begun to revise my opinion. Fell in love with the new C class and how I'd have loved tobe in Delhi to see this stall!
