Am seriously thinking about this instead of the Jazz. What do you guys think? Jazz was because of more space which Swift did not have. I am sure the petrol will be a bit more than the Jazz. It will be a bit bigger lengthwise, but the utility will be really good when one needs space for extra pax/baggage.

Dealer has promised TD soon. If wifey can feel comfortable driving it, can be serious about it.

Spotted an Ertiga near Ecity yesterday, man this looks small - no comparison to Innova.

Decent looks, Capable engine, Maruti Tag and smart pricing - Maruti have a winner!!

Tailed and surpassed an Ertiga on B.T.Road(near Dunlop). It was a TD vehicle for Premier Carworld. It's about the size of an Eeco but a definite eye-catcher. Looks very premium inside-out. The interior space seemed reasonable from the outside. Nice stance.
First thoughts, the Xylo's are going to get badly hit. The 3rd row will only be just as bad as that of the Scorpio and not worse, however, the Ertiga occupants will enjoy a much more compliant ride at the 3rd row. The GM MUV (aka Enjoy) will be born in a very harsh world and will be difficult to find takers for the dated/lack-luster looking MUV (vis-a-vis the Ertiga), unless it sports a substantially lower price tag with the MJD. There'll be some cannibalization with the Dzire, so where will the touted new MS Sedan fit in? Even the potential Innova buyers might give the Ertiga a second look if the third row is taken out of the equation. They will get almost the same amount of reliability, easy maintenance and that for a much lower price tag hopefully.
This is a rare good/proportionate/modern looking offering from MS. If they can manage whooping numbers with their not so flamboyant lineup (except the Swift), one can only guess the amount of sales the Ertiga will generate. Just by the looks of it, the Ertiga seems to have the potential of setting the sales chart on fire and will only be limited by the number of MJD engines MS can afford to lend to it.

The Maruti website price link has an entry for Ertiga now, just not showing any data as yet when you select it. Hopefully that will get populated shortly. Last I had checked the Ertiga entry itself was not there in the price dropdown.

On their facebook page, they have mentioned that launch time is 12:00 Noon.

I am expecting it to be priced around 30K lesser to be in the range of 7.3 L (basic petrol variant) to 10.5 L (high-end diesel variant) On-Road in Bangalore...

More than 10.5 OTR even for the top model, is nt it a bit on the higher side? Ideally it should have stopped a little below where innova starts from in my opinion. Anyways lets see how the market responds.

I saw a TD Ertiga yesterday night. It was being driven from Gurgaon to delhi. I looks like Small Xylo from behind. 2nd row looked roomy while 3rd short of same. Overall I would say this is going to sell good.

The launch is soooooooo boring man. They should stop using the stupid musicals etc.. and get on with the lanuch and comapre them to the competitors and demonstrate the car with all the seats occupied by passengers to show how comfortable it is.

Ertiga prices are out. Fantastic pricing by Maruti. But they were addresses as "INTRODUCTORY PRICING"

Excellent pricing for Petrol, bad for diesel, normally the gap is 1 lakh, in this case it is close to 1.5 lakhs
