SsangYong Rexton

• The Rexton will be making its entry into India
• Powered by a 2.7 litre turbocharged common-rail diesel engine
• 181 BHP of maximum power and 402 Nm of torque
• Three rows of seating allow up to seven occupants
• Folding mechanisms allow the second and third row of seats to be folded away for additional luggage area

XIV – 1 Concept

• "Crossover" concept
• Gets its name from the phrase ‘eXciting user Interface Vehicle’ (although no user interface was shown)
• Supposed to merge the attributes of a B-segment SUV with the running costs of a small family car
• Each of the concept’s four seats can rotate 360 degrees in addition to moving forwards and backwards

Korando E Concept

• Pure electric car concept based on the Korando C
• Interesting tail-light design (there's a part of the body shown within the light!)

Actyon Sports

• There are currently no plans for this pick-up truck to come to India
• 2.0 Diesel Engine complying with Euro 5 emissions
• Peak torque of 360 Nm from 1,500 to 2,800 rpm and 190 Nm is delivered at a near-idle 1,000rpm
• Features include a sunroof, Bluetooth audio, rear view camera, ESP and dual airbags

I really liked the concept of XIV. Side profile somehow resembles with our dear Swift. Thank you for the pics.

The interior fit and finish of the Rexton looks neat. The front design is not what usually sells in India for SUV's viz a mean look. I dont like pick up trucks much but the Actyon Sports looks buch. Why couldnt Rexton look like that!

When are they officially launching in India? Or are they here already!

The pick up looks awesome. M&M should look at bringing this to India. I know it's a niche lifestyle vehicle but it could build up SsangYong's reputation.

Also, where is the Korando? Are they not bringing it to India?

My pick: Actyon Sports
Fell in love with this lifestyle pick-up, the moment I entered the Ssangyong space at the Expo.
Just one OT question - A lot of models in various stands were sporting Kumhos. I thought that the Kumhos were kinda cheap Chinese tyre brand. Is that a wrong idea?

Kumho tyres are a Korean Brand. Often come with Korean cars as OEM tyres.
They are probably just as good as our JK, Apollo etc if not better, from all accounts.

Just my thought. Only that the LRX concept was much much more tastefully done. The Rexton seems like a Merrcedes design gone bad. And what happened to the only SsangYong model I like: Korando? I only see the electric variant. Or did I miss it?

Design / Styling sense wise mahindra and ssangyong are just made for each other.

I shudder to think what a JOINT EFFORT automobile made by a collaborative team from both these companies would look like.

I absolutely loved the lifestyle pickup Actyon! Too bad the Indian market doesn't have a place for these YET.

Why wasn't the Korando displayed? And will the Rexton come in a Manual transmission as well?

Absolutely brilliant Job with the Actyon pickup. The last time I saw this product was in Australia in 2007 and it looked something like this:




Now though the body shell is the exact same they have turned into this, what a brilliant transformation!

All this and no Korando C ? Isint that going to be a bigger product than the Rexton?! The Korando C is a great looking compact SUV which I and many of us would like to see on the Indian roads.
