Tata Motors must be under the impression that they will be able to take the existing manufactures by surprise. Little did they realise that those who already hold ground would have moved ahead with new design themes.

Their strategy is not at all in line with the existing automotive scenario where the customer is becoming more and more demanding by each passing hour.

Well the good thing is that TML are doing something different and attempting to bring new models - Falcon 4, Falcon 5 and JUMP. Even the Vista has been upgraded/refreshed few times and the 2013 Vista is a completely different beast compared to 2008/09 Vista. TML will need to nail A.S.S issues.

I get a feeling this will be based on the Vista D90 concept shown earlier with a falcon-like face and interior.

I only hope they move away from the current design theme which now has lost its appeal. Something totally fresh would at least get them the eyeballs.

The reason they lose customers is not bad products but terrible QC and sub-par service experience.

They can launch a million models and those perceptions will not change.

Classical example of doing something for the sake of doing - though yes, the Vista/Manza were due for a refresh.

First they have to "Jump" a few levels to make a good product and name it sensibly, this name sounds cruelly funny. God only can save Tata Motors from here on.

Hi all, We are aware about the Tata Vehicles that will be showcased in Auto Expo 2014. Now IAB provides the details of Tata "JUMP" based on Vista X1 platform.

Apart from the Falcon 4 hatchback, the Falcon 5 compact sedan and the new Revotron engine, Tata will also show this crossover concept at the exhibition.

It is believed that the Jump will be a sub-4 meter crossover, poised to challenge the likes of the Ford EcoSport. The Jump has been given the green light for production and a 2015 market launch can be expected. Powering the Jump will be a 1.2-liter Revotron engine tuned to produce 100 bhp. Meanwhile, Tata is developing an all-new diesel engine which could see its introduction in the Jump.

The picture deserves to be hosted on Weird and wacky modifications. The spare wheel at the rear covers the number plate, which is against the rules. Although the picture here is of Tata Vista D90 Xtreme Concept from last year’s unveiling.

We are not sure if this will be the car that would be showcased. If this is based on the Indica Vista platform then what happens to this car when they launch the Falcon range. Will it see a facelift again or will it have some features from the falcon design at the time of launch itself.

Vow! This is a good news from Tata Finally!
Also, there was a 7 seater proposal based on Marina, at one point of time. It seems they are not looking at that platform any more
Good Luck Tata and hope this model would see the 'day light' very soon.
Hurry up Tata to make some good volumes while the sun shines!

Chevrolet's compact SUV and potential EcoSport rival might be called the ADRA, as per ACI scoop.

We were the first to reveal that Chevrolet is working on a compact SUV concept which will be displayed for the first time at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014 in Delhi.

Our sources tell us this new concept will be called the Chevrolet Adra and it is likely to be based on General Motors’ global small-vehicle platform, also called Gamma 2.

The new Chevrolet Adra will be pegged against the Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster. It is likely to be powered by the same 77bhp 1.3-litre diesel engine from the Chevrolet Sail and Enjoy.

Ford will unveil an all-new compact concept car for the first time at the Auto Expo 2014, reports ACI.

Ford is to take the covers off its new global concept car at the 2014 Auto Expo.
Teaser images of the car sent by the company reveal a headlight and grille section that is in line with current Ford styling. The hexagonal Aston Martin-like grille is clearly visible as are the elongated headlights that flank it.
This future vision for the compact car segment is aimed at buyers in developing markets. Ford says this car has been created to serve the specific needs of Indian customers. While the nose of the car looks similar to that of the Ford Ka concept showcased in Brazil, we assume the car is not identical as Ford continues to call this a 'new global concept'. A new rear section could be on the cards though.
