Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Not bad. 40K more than the Swift and cheaper than the outgoing Dzire.

What do you get over the Swift?

• A reclined, more comfortable back seat
• Beige interiors
• 112 liters of boot space
• Softer, more complaint ride quality in the city & over rough roads

And, what do you lose?

• Handling : The Swift is far more fun to drive. The Dzire is too soft
• Fold-down rear seat. The Swift is actually more suited to those airport runs, or when you're moving home
• A better looking derrière

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Seems like its a bit more dzirable than before, the Auto option on mid variant is tempting, cheapest Auto in a sedan (if we call it one) I guess?

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

The prices are bang on as expected. Hope they don't raise it much further up like the new Swift.

The DZire VXi AT is Rs 6.54 lakh.

The difference to VXi MT is more than 1.2 Lakh. Does it have more kit and especially ABS like the A-star?

Decent pricing for sure.
Btw what about booking and delivery?
Any idea?
Will it be readily available or there will be swift like waiting?

I believe that the VXi AT alone gets ABS among the V trims! The manual variants have ABS only on Z trims!

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

That looks to be well priced. With more boot space, back seat comfort and better ride quality in city @ 40K extra, there are chances of people converting their Swift booking to Dzire. Soon we will see a long WL for Dzire too.

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Source: New Swift Dzire petrol priced at 4.79 lakh, diesel at 5.80 lakh

"The earlier Dzire will stay in the market but will be sold only to institutional buyers and not individuals."

Source: Business Line : Companies News : Maruti launches new DZire at Rs 4.79 lakh

"The company, however, will continue to produce the old DZire in some specific variants like the base model in stripped down version to target the fleet segment."

Still can't figure out what will happen to old DZire!

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

Jazz : Rs. 550,000
Jazz Select Edition : Rs. 575,000
Jazz X : Rs. 606,000 (including standard kit)

Dzire Petrol
LXi- Rs.4.79 lakhs
VXi- Rs.5.32 lakhs
VXi AT- Rs.6.54 lakhs
ZXi- Rs.6.19 lakhs

I think the jazz would be a better buy at these prices. You do get a bigger 380lt boot apart from Airbags/ABS which are missing in the VXi variant. Not to forget the magic seats!!

But things that favour petrol Dzire are the Maruti service and AT variant (has ABS)

Re: Maruti Suzuki to launch new Swift DZire in February

So once they stop selling current Dzire to individual owners, they will not have any entry level sedan anymore? The new one would be a notchback and not a sedan right?
