The car is getting launched on 27th July.

In the morning when I opened it, it was written 18 days to go (i.e 3rd Aug) but now it says 10 days to go.

Checked out the F30 yesterday, late evening at a BMW dealership in South Bombay. It was the same one that had the QR codes all over it. Personally speaking, I didn't quite like the design and the worst part was the front of the car. Didn't feel as solid as the current outgoing model. It had the similar 16" wheels that we see in the current 'Dynamic' variant. The guy who accompanied me didn't have the key of the car so couldn't check out the interiors but what I saw from the window looked quite good. Let's hope the nex-gen M3 would be a lot different from this (Hope everything isn't joined together like this one or I'll be totally left heartbroken )

1. The prices are definitely on the steeper end, don't you think? The Audi will have a field day with their 'semingly' budget options

2. How is the legroom for the new 3-er? I mean, for a 6 footer in the back, will it have the annoying brush against the seats and the protruding center AC vent/ console?

1. Steeply priced yes!! I mean you could almost go for a 5 series by a adding a couple of lac more. Having said that 3 series is by far the best drivers car.

2. Can't comment on that yet because I did not get to sit on the backseat. But I do know that they have increased the length of the car a bit so that should help a bit!!

With these prices BMW can say goodbye to it's leading position in India. I think another downward story starts I Indian automobile scene.

I don't understand why you guys are cribbing about the prices? Firstly the ex showroom for which city has not been mentioned. And secondly 32l will be the ex showroom of the top of the line 320d, and it is equivalent or maybe a lac more than the earlier Exclusive ex showroom. The C250 Avantgarde also has a price very similar to this.

If anything is 36l it will be the 328i which is a CBU, and fully loaded with things like HUD. Also it is 1l more than what the 330i was priced at.

Lastly lets wait a few days for the actual pricing before we start speculating about BMWs downfall. The OTR price would be around 36-38 for the top of the line 320d depending on the cities, maybe a little more too. That may seem a bit high since many of us got big discounts on the E90, but thats what it is.

Agree with you. 36L ex-showroom is exorbitant. Bhpian S350-E240 who apparently knew the prices for the new F30 models said the prices were only a little higher that the present models.

The snaps posted by Sree_Ganesh seem to be of the Sport Line F30 (gloss black exterior replacing the chrome, smaller alloys, black grille etc).

Waiting for ecclipse78 to upload the spec sheets in a day or two.

The M version, like the M5, might have some magic like always and retain some driving pleasure. The exterior design, though, would be similar with the good old M elements.

The sedan version isn't for the old school BM guys, but the M3 would certainly have an extended appeal purely because of the M badging and the unmatched driving pleasure to cover up the altered looks. The rumoured EPS for the new M3 in the near future would be a guess for anybody at this stage. We'll have to wait and see on how they pull it off.

Fingers crossed! Let's certainly hope so Though the disappointing bit'd be the absence of the current V8 motor. :( They shouldn't even have the 'Efficiency' word in mind while creating the ///M Cars

Saw these same cars at the Gurgaon Toll near the Haryana State tax booth. Seems like the drivers were kind of arguing with the tax officials. Could not click any pics due to traffic.

I have just received the word from Navnit Motors Mumbai that the official preview and launch of the new 3 series will be on 20th July Friday at their Malad showroom at 1900hrs.

The preview from a delhi dealer is on 21st . Hopefully they provide a drive as well
According to him the official launch is on 28th.
