Yes, the older F10 did not have Start-Stop, Eco Pro mode, etc and was being offered at 3 to 4 lacs off.

Just wait for the new 3; you will be pleasantly surprised. She has grown in size and the cabin does have a lot more space.

Yes I am waiting eagerly for the new 3 but I think pricing will be the most crucial factor between the 3 and 5 as whatever one might say a 5 series is still better.

The 3 is Superbly priced, I have the entire list but will allow someone else to post it, Just few more days and you will get it, lets just say it's the best ever priced product in the segment. Also for anyone to book the car you just need 50,000.00 and nothing more.

I think those people need to take a good look again because as far as I am concerned the interiors are top notch and have a build to last feel

Discounts on the 520d usually range from 3 to 4 lacs. Check with your dealer, as lot of it depends on their targets vs inventory levels.

Any idea on what engine options will be available for the F30. I am looking forward to the 330d or 335i. Been waiting for the f30 for a while now. When do you think the bigger motors will be launched?

At the moment only 320d gets launched as CKD in 3 variants.

328i will be a CBU with Head-Up display.

Not sure about a base petrol like 320i.

@S350-E240, do dealers start taking bookings as soon as the car is launched or will it take a month or two? Is it true that the Sport Line won't have a sunroof? Did any of you get to see the car in person? Can't wait for the details to be out.

I have seen all the three variants personally.

The Sport line does not have a sun roof.

It's present only in the luxury variant.

Sorry for not replying earlier, honestly bookings are not really valid as the car on paper does not exist but informally it gets done, and you can pay any amount as you like, don't worry even if you dont book there wont be a big wait for delivery there is enough inventory.

And about specs, ecclipse78, is the god of it, he's seen it up close and personal.

About prices, it's going to be a serious problem for a lot of people if posted right now but lets just say it's going to excite everyone, and will re define value for the segment just assume you are buying the old 3, paying little more and getting a lot more!

Will there be a Corporate Edition? May or may not be called exactly that but say a stripped out version with the a petrol/diesel option and everything to it's bare bone inside the cabin and devoid of runflats?

Yes sir it will be there, Run flats will never go! They are awesome and very well calibrated for new 5 and 3.

BMW will never get rid of 'run flats'....its something they don't even want to discuss.

The new 3 has been much redesigned; its much easier compared to the old one for entry and exit. Not quite that low and much better stance.

The rear seat is also quite impressive and can take 2 adults very comfortably. ( I am a 6 footer and another 6 footer can sit behind me comfortably with more than sufficent leg room ). This was something seriously lacking in the old 3.

Am sure this car will be a game changer in the segment.
