Re: 2012 Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 Launched

The instrument cluster looks so outdated that even Tata Indica seems to have better instrumentation. The design clearly seems to target the Taxi segment. With customer preferences changing fast, such upgrades would no longer help increase volumes.

Baah! Chevrolet is a goner in india!

Generation old taveras, daewoo rip offs {spark & Aveo} and upcoming chinese twins-Sail & Its hatch { which look like distant cousins of the Logan and etios}.

This is all chevrolet has to show for in india in spite of its lineage! The only saving grace I think is the beat.
Cruze / Captiva have not been able to dominate their segments in spite of having decent diesel units.

Chevy should bring in their American cars into Indian markets. They are very good in the SUVs, I have driven them in the US. With good pricing they could compete easily in the upper D segment SUVs. Strip some techno features and push them even into sub 10 L segment.

You need to invest into a country with a long term perspective, then you will be able to make it a success. Not sure in GM uses India as their export hub for Asia (unlike others). Now could help them bring good cars. Point in case, why did the tavera have to get a 3rd party engine? Does GM not have their own?

ACI review of the BS4 Tavera

Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 review, test drive - Review - Autocar India

The Sonalika engine isn't exactly bad as few of us have opined. This is also confirmed by FNG mechanic, who went on commenting it is the other aspects of the vehicle that aren't exactly appealing & long lasting rather than the engine.

Re: 2012 Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 Launched

Does anybody have any news on how the new Tavera engine is faring in terms of performance, mileage, maintenance, reliability, noise, vibration etc?

Any test drives or ownership reports?

Re: 2012 Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 Launched

Recently I enquired with a Sales guy in Chevy outlet on Hosur Road about the 106bhp version of Tavera, he said this model has been discontinued now.

Re: 2012 Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 Launched

Reviving an old thread.

Spotted a Tavera entering Mercedes Benz office in Whitefield, Bangalore today morning.

It had stickers saying 'Test Car' on it.

Couldn't click because I was driving.
