Thanks Cardeep, did read that earlier as well but they have not mentioned anything about the ride and handling bit. Took a test drive myself with the new Xylo and must admit that changes are very minimal to the handling. However the E9 believe it comes with the 2.2 liter MHawk Engine (similar to that on scorpio) has better performance compared to the other engines. But the price of an E9 borders very much onto XUV with a few K more.

Re: PICS : The 2012 Mahindra Xylo Facelift Launch

Tactile move by not allowing to many test drive vehicles of E9 in show rooms . If one drivers , this it might effect Scorpio sales . Read almost all 10 Pages of this thread and have found not many have got test vehicle to test out E9 .

E9 Should be a good option for the price and MHawk engine .

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ertiga vs Toyota Innova vs Mahindra Xylo

Breaking News!!! Well may be not, but just heard from the dealer that Mahindra is changing the Xylo variants to H series from E and is now using the M-Hawk engine across all the new H variants.

The details of the differences between the E and the New H series will be known shortly.

Re: The 2012 Mahindra Xylo

A feedback to Mahindra from a Xylo owner.

The Xylo has already got its facelift, no doubt making it look better.

But based my ownership experience, I strongly feel it also needs a rear lift:

The rear of the roof and tail door need to be re designed as proposed in my attempted paint job below:

This would serve to liberate a lot of luggage room in the boot without increasing the existing overall length, as well as increase the headroom for the 3rd row passengers. Also it would impart a more aggressive look compared to the tame tapering off at the end in the present model.

Hope Mahindra can do something on these lines in its future Xylo models.

Mahindra to give new push to the Xylo and Quanto with declining sales of the duo.

There’s a buzz that M&M may reconfigure the Quanto’s seven-seat arrangement and make it a five-seater to offer better space for the second row. There’s no official comment though for now, on what the new measures could be make the models more appealing to customers. M&M says that while it has discovered what measures need to be taken, it hasn’t figured out the reasons for the models’ weak performance.

Poor sales of Quanto? umm, maybe coz its ugly as hell? They need a ground up design for a compact SUV, this chop shop job ain't going to cut it when you have the likes of EcoSport in the same segment.

Let's see when they will launch the S101.

Oh and I thought CMVR was a little lenient on a 7-seater than a 5-seater? So wouldn't they need to make some more changes than just throwing out the jump seats and pushing the middle row further back?
