Find car owner using the registration number - Instantly via SMS!

Tried in Chennai for a car I bought in 2005 as the 2nd owner and then sold it in 2010. It only returned the name of the 1st owner.

As it is, there's nothing much you can do with knowing just the owner name and Vehicle type. And when there's no accuracy what's the point of it?

Fail.

Similar facility was available on Bangalore Traffic police website but they removed it later saying confidentiality issue.
It did gave info about my car correctly.

Worked great for my Delhi registered Bike, Navi Mumbai registered Car and also for my parent's car in Delhi.

Found it to be a really useful and nifty tool.

Worked in Kerala too though details were only of the first owner registered in 1985.

Yup it works in Kolkata. Its also giving the number of owners as well which can be useful while buying a second hand car. It didn't work for cars in Mumbai (Andheri RTO) though.

Thank you for the information. It worked both for my Bangalore (KA03) and for my parents' Kerala (KL01) registered vehicles.

doesnt work for gujarat :( tried it on 2 cars and 2 bike nos.

also, even tried an old MMN series and a new MH01 series. that too didnt work.

says ask RTO for digitisation!

worked for our TN regd. vehicles but not for Gujju ones ; looks like GJ regd. vehicle history hasn't been digitised.

Works well in Bangalore too. I just checked registration number of my bike, which I sold. I could see the new owners name with other details.

Works perfectly fine in Pune. Gave exact information of all the cars in my house.
Heck, even gave correct information of the car I sold. Thanks to this, now I know who bought my car, as I had sold it to True Value
