Assuming you are in hyderabad, if you need just the address, you can download the Telangana RTA m-wallet app from playstore. Add a new RC in the wallet by giving the following details-

1) Vehicle Registration number.
2) Last 5-digits of the chassis number( this is a must).

A photocopy of the RC would be added to your m-wallet. This works with the pre-2014 AP registered numbers as well.

Actually, the bike is in Chennai and I want to close the deal before illegal seller picks it up. Mint condition motorcycle without papers.

Owner is saying that he will need time to apply in RTO for duplicates, but his son is in US at the moment and to and fro of documents for signature will take a month easily.

Is there any other way ?

No problem. But this the quickest as far as I know. It hardly takes 5-10 minutes. You just need the registration number & chassis number. No need of any RTO agent or etc. In case you know the above details you can PM me if you wish. I will try to fetch a photocopy of the RC.

Pardon me, I thought you were referring to an AP/TS registered vehicle. The app is meant for AP & TS(telangana) registered vehicles only.

I just found out recently that parivahan site is not providing the owner information for cars with second or third ownership.

It just displays the below error message. I tried emailing the issue to the administrator. I got the message stating "Thanks for the feedback"

But they did not work on the feedback. Are you guys also facing the same problem? IF yes, how to get this site rectified ?

This is correct. Before I bought my current car, it showed the first owner. After we got the ownership changed, it shows the second owner in the Parivahan site.

It working on n-1 principle

I installed this app, "Vehicle Info" recently and it is working fine. As with the website, this too does not show the vehicle info after the change of first ownership. I found it quicker and more convenient to use the app instead of SMS.

Likely wrong number. Many sellers may mask the veh number. And OTOH, a new series number will be available online. It's not an old number to be not found.

Seems like the SMS service has stopped, everytime I try i get a return sms saying:failed to connect to respective state register
The app seems to be working but owner names are now in jumbled/encrypted form. Nor does the app tell you how many owners. The sms used to inform that.

Is there another source to get regn info ?
