Ex-showroom: Rs.890000

Extended Warranty: Rs.6500
Insurance: Rs.37500

Yes, I also had the same experience. When I enquired with the Aquest Auto dealer, they also informed that Sport has been discontinued and only the Select is available. Got the below price list from them, which shows a major jump in the prices. Pls refer the attachment.

This might be the price of limited edition of select model. It might reduce later once limited edition is gone

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

I have started semi-seriously thinking of replacing my 5 year old Getz Prime with a sedan and noticed this thread today. Cedia has long fascinated me and so called up SVR motors (Bangalore) to inquire. The person whom I talked to told that Cedia Sport will be available from the start of November but did'nt mention any price details. Will call them up again next week to validate.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

I wonder if my family should feel lucky to have bought a Cedia Sports at just the right time. Its a September '12 model and has been bought for INR 9.2 lakhs (On road, Bhopal). The car has completed 3000 kms now. My dad, who has used the Maruti Baleno, the SX4 and the Esteem for a lot of time can't stop telling how happy he is with his new car.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

Looks like the Mitsubishi India website have taken out Lancer from it's list of cars. But the BSIII Lancer LXd 2.0 still seems to be up for sale in non-metro's. Are they phasing out the old-generation Lancer and reintroducing the new-generation lancer which is being sold the world over as Lancer.

Yes. The old generation Lancer has been phased out. The Lancer diesel, which might still be on sale in Non Metros, must be from a stock clearance exercise.

The Cedia Sports, apparently, too has been discontinued. Only the Cedia Select on sale.

And as for Mitsubishi launching the new Lancer in India? Its like a Nokia Android cellphone. Some things happen in 'Your Dreams Only.'

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

Diesel in that range would have been good, they are using old dies anyway so can't figure out why they would want to phase that out. Anyway they use old dies for an old model that is out of use anywhere in the world. A diesel Lancer would directly compete with Rapid, Dzire, Scala, Sunny etc. An IDI diesel engine though can run forever unlike the common rail with very little maintenance at the cost of lesser power output.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

Ok .. I'm very very late on this thread .. sorry for that .. but thanks to YC I went and bought meself a white Cedia sports on Dec 29th 2012 .. from Goa and drove down to Blr .. including registration came to 9.5 (thanks to the savings at Goa) .. can't stop raving about the vehicle which was a dream for 3 years .. The amazing Momo, OZs alone are worth every dime .. not to mention multi-link independent rear suspension, ABS, EBD .. the absolutely unbelievable drive-ability, fun, speed, control, stability, naturally aspirated 2.0 liter bliss .. the specs on this baby are worth another 6 lakhs more to the nearest good car (unless the new Octavia specs out sufficiently) - the Cruze .. and even that doesn't come close to the handling. Touched max speed of 183 (GPS) on 2 subsequent long drives, one to Goa again (8.8 avg in city and 13.63 on highway!!) .. sorry for the long rave .. but this beauty is a rare jewel and I can't feel thankful enough that life, luck and God gave me the opportunity to own it.
