wow! this is indeed a beautiful micro car. Having just bought a nano, I can understand how good tata is at interior packaging. Ready to pay upto 3/4 lacs for this car.

Beautiful car! Will turn a lot of heads when it'd move on the road.

The ACI report says the next gen Nano based on this concept would be launched in 2015. I think that is too late.

Come on Tata, give us this beauty much sooner!

Awesome! The Pixel then and the Megapixel now. Tata really knows a thing or two in making drool-worthy concepts. If this concept makes it to production as such, it might not be the cheapest car in the world but who cares? People can't even guess that it is based on the same platform as the Nano.

I sincerely hope that the Nano (and its many variants and successors) script a big success story for Tata in India and abroad. They deserve it for the kind of efforts that they are putting in.

But guys, tata never came around to launching any of the cars it has showcased in geneva. Being it the aria (the one they showcased as a sport coupe, not the x-over), the europa or the pixel. how can we assume tata is going to launch this? Also i fail to understand why they would bother to develop a concept car if they are not even going to launch it. can anyone tell me why they do it? Ps: viewing from phone so cant actually open the link. Will comment on the looks once i open the link from my pc.

Tata should stop wasting our time and bring something to the market. They have developed too many concepts just for the heck of it.
Now, wouldn't someone find this exciting to drive around in the City?

Concepts are made as technology demonstrators. They showcase the company's engineering and design prowess. Thus, it is not necessary that a concept make it to production.
Learnings from these concepts do trickle down to production cars. Also, with concepts, the manufacturer has freedom in terms of design and materials. It is not necessary to make a concept to be manufacturing friendly thus giving designers and engineers a lot of freedom.

as per as i know Tata Aria is the production version of XOVER concept displayed at Geneva some years ago.

Even if this concept to production move is delayed, I hope they offer the Nano Europa on order here in India. Some of us may be willing to pay more for a better quality Nano
