A review by a online car mag said that new Accent's handling was superb and it was a big change frm the old one's.

ANd I think performace should also be better.

Just got the latest autocar magazine which has their editor writing about the new accent in its first drive. The new accent stats indicate that a car is bigger in all respects in comparison to the old one.

A lot of engine choices are available to Hyundai and hence it remains to be seen which one they get in India. The seating was mentioned to be low and so was the power of the car in comparison to the existing players in the market.

a brief mention about why hyundai might not be able to support both the old and the new accent in the market where they have the getz and santro was good.

hope this helps.

Yesterday I was at the Hyundai showroom. The sales guy was saying that Verna will be out initially only in petrol. He is so sure because Hyundai did the same for Getz and Sonata (though the Dsl versions are not yet launched in either of them). Btw, I was there enquiring for CRDI. If I was looking for petrol, his response might have been the other way.

The quoted price for Accent CRDI is 8.1. After discounts, he said i can get the car for 7.9. He promised me he can get me further discounts. Otherwise I am looking for Indigo SX for my Dad. It is much more cheaper and comes with lots of goodies.

New Hyundai Accent

Guys

I think the new hyundai accent is finally going to come and very soon, a diesel in that category is going to rock! this times autocar has some details on that though i havent got hold of the mag yet.

also they have compared aveo/fiesta and also some other top end cars. interestingly i read in usa today newspaper that the hyundai chairman is going to be arrested shortly!

wonder what turmoil the company will go through. though they say south korean economy is least affected by this.

wondering about india hyundai then!

Never trust what the company says either

Just wondering... what this means...

"The new version of Accent would be a higher-end model that would compete with cars like Ford Fiesta and Honda City, Wang Sik Min, executive director (marketing & sales) of Hyundai Motor India, said."

OK, so does he mean that the current Accent is NOT competing with Fiesta and the NHC ? thats strange considering all their Ads where they have taken pains to project the current Accent as a better car than the other two...

currently it might not be replacing Accent, but in very near future it will sure do that!

it is coming very soon but not in this July2006 for sure.
i'd suggest you to wait for sometime if you wish to keep it as an option!
