| ![]() audioholic, thanks to you (and your mom, as well) for snapping and sharing these pictures! They are probably the first definite pictures of the Verito CS caught on camera, glad you watermarked them. The car looks decent (at least from the rear), not awkward as I expected it to be. Good on Mahindra's part to exploit the sub-4m rule, hope they pass on the cost benefits to the customer. Bad on their part to employ a rash, moronic test driver. Any idea if the boot lid opens by itself (only the metal part), or lifts up along with the rear windshield, like on the Octavia/Laura? Last edited by RSR : 9th November 2012 at 09:29. |

Also, we'll have to see if they provide a decent interior along with it. CS version would be mostly going to private owners and hence a bad interior scheme can actually spoil the party. Personally, I wouldn't mind paying another 20k if I get good quality interiors as thats the part I see while I'm inside the car. Bad looking exterior is an eyesore for others but a bad interior is an eyesore for the person who invested in it. ![]()

| ![]() The rear has been shrunk. See the length of the boot lid in comparison to the Normal verito. The length has been reduced. Even the rear overhang has been reduced similar to the Dzire. The car has been shrunk uniformly and hence, one cant really make out the difference unlike in an Indigo CS where we can know that the boot has taken the major hit. Also the C-pillar is not as dominant as before. The car definitely looks good. I assumed it to be a Honda city going by the image on my RVM and hence let it go. The car was held up by me in a narrow double road with a median. Had I not let it pass, I could have got better shots. Too bad, my phone is supposed to shoot in HD but the quality was not worthy. I would have preferred lower resolution but better quality. Also, keeping in pace with the driver was very difficult. Hence, I gave up after a two minute chase. | ![]() Mahindra has said that it will launch the Verito CS before the end of March 2013. This news was confirmed by Dr Pawan K Goenka (President of Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors of Mahindra) in reply to a question regarding launch and looks by Indianautosblog team on Twitter. Check out the entire conversation at : http://twitter.com/GoenkaPk |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Caught the sub-4m version yesterday. What surprised me was the tail-lamps on the C pillars, and not on the boot like sedans. Or is it just an add-on to confuse spotters? 3rd picture shows the brakelights glowing Since previous spy-pics (which were thought to be CS pics earlier) turned out to be the refresh model, is this the actual boot section of the CS? Looked somewhat like the Accent Viva boot, in real. Front was identical to current (refreshed) Verito. Tyres seem smaller. Two of my friends took delivery of refreshed Verito last month, hence pretty confident with the above statements and comparisons. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by CrAzY dRiVeR : 11th January 2013 at 12:10. |

It will take many a Mahindra to beat a Dzire at least! I do not want to comment on the Indigo, though! I have never had the 'good fortune' of owning a Tata car, but being a staunch Maruti-Suzuki fan and a long-time Mahindra user, expecting a Verito CS to beat a Dzire is unfathomable! ![]() |

Seems true. Comparing with regular Logan / Verito, it is just an attachment. Please see the extra bulging on left side.

| ![]() This looks like the Verito hatchback!! Its not really a compact sedan - that definition was moot anyways! This car will challenge the vista and kill the Beat diesel-which is IMHO a bit overpriced for the amount of space and big-car feel it offers. I hope the surgery has resulted in not just inch loss but weight loss as well. Mahindra's surgeons are excellent in the former but have scope for improvement in the latter. Maybe a VLCC session for Verito CS may be in order! ![]() EDIT: Do note the different pattern of the masking material in the area where the regular verito tail lights would have been. Looks like the tail lamps are exactly where they are in the existing car. Romeo is right. Last edited by phamilyman : 11th January 2013 at 12:31. |

A friend has a relative working with Mahindra and he had confirmed about a Verito hatchback model going to be released soon as well. BUT, this done did have a boot, although it was smaller than the regular Verito, as you can see in the pic! Even i feel its an attachment, but it was wired to glow properly when the brakes were applied. Feels too much effort to hide something, for what is only a chop job on an existing car! |

Tail lights does seem to stick out beyond the level of the windscreen and I see an ugly body panel at the place where Verito has the tail lights, so even I'm not sure if this is just a body shop job on the test mule. May be they moved the lights to C pillar to start slicing out the boot till the car became less than 4m and forgot to put the lights back in the original place. ![]() I don't see any horizontal lines above the rear windscreen. So it seems unlikely to have a bootlid like Accent Viva which would have been much more practical when combined with folding rear seats!
