Guys just bought a gypsy 1996 with A/c and Hard top 40000K done (as the car was barely standing) from a company. The dealer must have picked the car for some 80K and sold it to me for 1.2. I was searching for a gypsy from past 3 months. Had taken the effort to go to Lonavala, Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, and Baramati, put in all my contacts and still could not find one. Those who had would not sell or would quote some unrealistic price. A guy from lonavala had a 92 gypsy second owner, rusted body nothing much to speak, a noise that can freak out the entire neighborhood and imagine quoting price of 80K non negotiable. Searching a gypsy was costing me more than buying one. At last found one and held on to it. The previous owner had run the gypsy last 3 months on gas and the petrol tank had all kinds of dirt in it except petrol. Had to clean it. Serviced the carburetor, changed all the filters. Add extra two shock absorbers with bushings, new set of wiring, bumpers. Had to slog hard in Mumbai to get all this. The best part was I got all this at damn cheap rates. Only issue is to find good tyres. But now no money left so will probably hold on to this for few more months. The engine after servicing is very good sounds great. Plan to buy an esteem engine and fit it inside this beauty. They don’t allow diesel on petrol these days. Pulled out those damn benches behind and put in a safari styled sofa. Put in two extra brackets and the car does wonders. Drive it on any terrain and the back people won’t complain. Also bought a small blower from CST and fitted the Ac to it. The back people can enjoy the cool Ac now. Had to fit an extra fan for the Ac to improve its performance.
Inspite of all this respect u get while u drives this beauty on the road is amazing. Drive a CRV and Gypsy and I bet at least 50% chicks will look at u. That’s the best part.
So those interested buying a gypsy, go for it, follow ur dream. One thing about it if u maintains ur car well u can get a great resale. Imagine my friend sold his 90 Gypsy for 85K. Just remember to put in LPG even if u do not use it. That will boot ur resale. So u won’t loose anything in this. Compared to Sierra and other 2nd hand cars where u lose much amount in 1 year. I bout 97 esteem last year for 1.05 and had to sell it with an mp3 deck for 85 (10k better as the rates offered were 75 and on). But the gypsy hey no probs man. The rarity is its unique point.
So do not think twice just own one gypsy and I bet u wont sell it

Just one Word !! WOW !!
