Three Cheers for Mercedes SLS AMG for this feat.

I understand the SLS may not be a track focused car, I also understand it may not be as wild looking as some of it's rivals, while it has a bit of GT element in it, and track focused versions will come but the way it stands, it's a very good car take it on the track or consider it as an all rounder, will you win every race in it? Maybe not! But will it give you a lot more peace of mind compared to the rest? Mostly Yes! All this is debate able and there is no you right or me right but for anyone who thinks this car can get trashed by others needs to see the real world and see how it performs compared to it's rivals, some almost double the price.

For comparisons I have taken data for an endurance track like Nurburgring and also few high quality newer tracks and also included the Top gear times.

Be a judge, Mercedes Bashing maybe a passion on the forum but it truly is one of the finest brands that exists only they try to be a little easy on our backs!

Thanks for taking the time to compile that list S350L-E240.

I was quite surprised at some of the numbers (and a bit doubtful of the conditions of a few) -- but i think overall its clear that the SLS is very competent on the track! I'll admit, more-so than i expected.

Merc snatches the lead again.

The SLS AMG clocks the fastest lap by a production car at the Buddh International Circuit. Records lap time of 2:14.521 by British Touring Car Champion and AMG Driving Academy instructor Norman Simon.
