There is a thread running on pulse, but since its a new variant launch, I thought to create a new thread. In case mods need, they can move the new post on the old thread.

Highlights:

Renault has silently priced the pulse petrol as follows:

RXE petrol: Rs. 4,25,000 (Driver airbag)
RXL petrol: Rs. 4,99,000 (Driver airbag)
RXZ petrol: Rs. 5,55,000 (ABS plus dual airbags)

Its powered by the same 1.2L 3 cylinder micra petrol engine.

Key equipment is shown below. All info from renault's India website.

What a co-incidence! I just went to Pulse website and posted in another thread about its launch. why isn't Renault advertising?

They have ABS on petrol model, but they still do not have the same on diesel :Frustrati.
Come on Renault/ Nissan please:, we can pay for ABS on diesel.

This is :OT but I agree with Cardeep. Renault is making the same mistake as Nissan. And they may never rectify it.

They could have skipped the start/stop button and mirror auto fold options and provided ABS/EBD in the diesel variant. What's with this fixation for start/stop button! And then calling it first-in-class feature.

+1 to that. Why do these car manufacturers underestimate the buying capacity of a Diesel buyer, or do they think that a VFM car seeker wont pay extra for his safety.
Renault should learn things from others mistakes rather than trying it themselves. With little bit of research they could have figured out why the Micra was not doing well.

Number of replies shows that people are not interested in the Petrol version and also not that interested in Renault ;)

Anyways, i guess its nice pricing for this good looking car. Looks better than Micra for sure. As per todays news, if petrol is priced more again, then god bless car manufacturers for Petrol models.

Looks like some of the specs on the Renault site have changed. I just checked and they seem to have deleted the "Leather Gear Shift Knob with Special finish" and "Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel" from the RxZ Petrol as well.

That's the New height of Brand Engineering.
In between, entangled are the Global V-platform based products like Micra, Sunny which neither seems to be belonging to any particular theme, neither Japanese nor French.
Renault need to add some distinct into Indian product lineup, especially when they're having Globally known cars, like CLIO, Megane, etc.
Even 10 year Old kid knows about that cars, thanks to PC-games featuring them & that can really help in building Brand appeal for free.

Adding some more spice to this sharing methodology by various Auto companies, I'm expecting New upcoming Sub-4 metre Verito CS sedan to be powered by the same 1.2l, 79PS 3-cylinder engine. lol:
