Yes Black and Blue looks the best. Even Mist Silver is an average to look at, whereas the Red and White looks ugly at least from the rear.

*Magic Lamps (if equipped)
Magic lamps are greeting lamps when you approach the vehicle and press unlock on
the RKE. They are a combination of the front park/position lamps and the rear tail lamps.
Magic lamps are activated when you unlock the vehicle using the RKE provided there were no theft attempts and the park/position lamps are OFF.

In addition to the above I liked this particular sensor and many Leh/Kargil/Ladakh mates will agree for the poor fuel quality and condensation in the tanks in these trips-

Water-in-Fuel Warning Lamp
The water-in-fuel warning lamp illuminates when the accumulation of water in the fuel filter reaches the maximum permissible limit.
The fuel filter needs to be drained. Contact an Authorised Mahindra Dealer.

What should a glowing sign mean-

This light illuminates when the ignition is switched on and should extinguish after a few seconds. If it illuminates while driving, it indicates that water has been detected in the fuel filter.
This light warns you that the amount of accumulated water in the fuel filter has reached the specified level. Normally the vehicle is quite safe to drive, but have the accumulated water in the fuel filter drained off as soon as possible.

If the vehicle has just been re-fuelled, immediately move the vehicle to a safe location and switch off the engine. The fuel may have been contaminated and could cause damage to the injection system.

2014 Mahindra Scorpio Facelift (W105). EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 7.98 lakhs-imageuploadedbyteambhp1411656359.555725.jpg

Saw the New Generation Scorpio in Noida today. I confirm that the grab handle looking things at the back are just dummy plastic fillers that protrude out a bit.

The car looks best in Silver and Black to me personally. The looks grow on you and it really does look much better in person.

The Test Drive vehicle was a factory fresh S10 done only 15 kms. The short test drive was enough to tell us that the road behaviour of the new Scorpio is vastly improved, the gearshift now has short throws and the car feels more planted. Body roll is significantly reduced, it is similar to the Storme. The dimensions overall and comfort levels of the car are the same as the earlier model.

The track is now wider which one will also notice while changing lanes as it is more confidence inspiring than the outgoing model. It is no crisp handler but does a fair job considering it's a ladder frame SUV.

The dash ergonomics are good and everything is easy to reach. I did not feel that it was too low. The infotainment system is the same as the XUV but does not have those garish Red graphics.

The seats still feel a tad too slim although the back rest seems to be redesigned a bit. There is no change on the comfort of either the middle or the last row. The door handles are still those flimsy ones from the mHawk. The XUV is far more comfortable "seats wise" than the New Generation Scorpio if one compares the two, it would however be an unfair comparison.

The rear blends best with a Silver or Black coloured car as they absorb the lines much better. Have not seen the new colours.

The front of the car is a 'khichdi' of different styling elements borrowed from the Dodge Charger and LC Prado etc. but the styling grows on you and looks pretty good, especially in darker shades. The plastic side panels on the car are thicker than the previous one near the front fenders. The 'eyebrows' are not DRLs, but are parking lights. They look good.

The side profile of is more or less the same as the old model but it has a much 'chunkier' front-end design.

Design wise, this car will grow on most who find it too outlandish. Seems to be the pattern with Mahindra and Tata offering vehicles with design elements that are on opposite ends of the spectrum, too edgy or too sedate, neither one able to hit the sweet spot the Germans have been in for years, but we're getting there.

Overall, if one can learn to live with Mahindra's edgy styling philosophy then this is a brilliant offering that has all the ingredients of a bestseller.

The New Generation Scorpio has 5 weeks of waiting in NCR as of today.

At Rs 13.05 Lakh ex showroom Blore the S10 4 WD, makes a very compelling case for itself especially when compared to the Duster AWD.

At first glance it looks ugly. The design language has taken a plunge...
Its only the blue color that help save the day.
Rear is like so gaudy don't feel like looking twice.
I personally wasn't expecting such kind of shabby design modification after a long wait.
Disappointing!

Scorpio always rocked and it will continue to rock in its new avatar. For mango man, this is an excellent opportunity. I'm loving every bit of it.. Especially the blue and black shade.

MODS,

Why not add a poll in the thread with the color as options to see which is the widely accepted colour here?

Looks like our fellow members have started liking the new Scorpio. Especially those who have seen the car. Major auto magazines are giving positive reviews and probably Scorpio in new avatar going to continue to get some decent numbers.

Hmm, the looks seem to be slowly sinking in. Not for me as yet though - especially the rear. Can we slap the spare wheel on the backdoor and hide the mockery? Black seems best bet.

Looks apart, pricing is indeed sweet. Fit & finish, kit seem decent. Seems like it just got a lot more posh!! If the ride dynamics is indeed better now, the looks would be forgiven!

Is ABS and Airbags optional on S4? I keep hearing that in the posts earlier in the thread but there is no mention of it in the Mahindra site. If it is indeed offered, it is great news. Else the price goes north of 10L which brings in significant cost in Taxes etc.

The front looks will grow - same happened to the XUV 5OO after launch as well. However, the rear seems to be something LEGO would design and I doubt it would grow on us, ever!

IndianCarsBikes have posted a slew of photos from the launch, including the all-new Scorpio in 4 distinct real-life shades.

The only one missing is the Silver.

Any photos of the 4x4 knob on the Scorpio? Is it a rotary dial like the Storme? I did not find any photos on the website?
