Re: Conquest launches Evade SUV in India

Do not know if the car launching in India is truth or hoax, but this car definitely does exist. Among other features, the car can allegedly withstand gunfire for 24 hours.

What is launched now is the unarmored and more user friendly version.

Same here.
But on a different note, I'm little unsure on who the target customers are, when there is the S-Guard and others similar cars are available in the market.

Re: Conquest launches Evade SUV in India

Dont think this will come to India. Way too expensive. BTW,the Evade comes with ergonomic 2+2 style limo seating, executive style reclining seats, lap top trays, a third sunroof, and the option of either a driver partition or retractable flat screen television. But Yahoo news says it's launched in india.

Re: Conquest launches Evade SUV in India

From what I read online it has been launched at 3.19cr.

And Rajeev is right, the Evade is the unarmoured version of the Knight XV by Conquest. The Knight is supposed to be the most luxurious armored vehicle.

The design is so similar to the Gurkha armored vehicle used by Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) in Fast and Furious 5.

I remember looking at it in a recent topgear episode, the shot when the compare it to a hummer blew me away ... it's got to be the stupidest road car ever made ... unless I own one ... no more traffic rules

I suppose the dimensions would be similar to the Knight XV.

Conquest Evade SUV launched in India

Just came across this article

Conquest launches "EVADE" luxury SUV at 3.19 Crores (Excluding duties)
Posted on Aug 10, 2012 under General

Toronto-based Conquest Vehicles Inc has launched EVADE, the company’s first unarmored SUV in India. Prices start from Rs. 8.5 Crores including duties.

If you happen to be someone who thinks the Hummer H2 and the Audi Q7 are too small and inexpensive, well we have something for you. Conquest Vehicles has launched it’s first ever unarmoured SUV. It’s called the Conquest Evade.

It takes many styling cues from the Conquest Knight XV. The Conquest Evade features new headlights and tail-lights, narrower fender flares, a redesigned gille, a hood scoop, a third sunroof and a wider back door. The rear bumper now features an integrated step to help make access easier. The bodywork is an aluminium with steel blending which is a big point as it is a whole lot lighter than the planet sized armoured Knight XV.

Two engine options are available, a diesel and a petrol. However the best bit is not this SUV’s looks and size but its interiors. The Conquest Evade is offered as a 2+2 luxury limo. Driver partition is available and the rear features two electronic reclining seats. More goodies include laptop trays, FLIR night vision camera systems in the front and rear, commercial grade air ride suspension, and a third sunroof. Of course this SUV is highly customisable with many interior options.

The Evade SUV is priced at 3.19 crores (without duties) which makes this SUV one of the most expensive automobiles in India.

Re: Conquest Evade SUV launched in India

The SUV looks like a reinforced Chevrolet trailblazer to me.

A Sure shot flop recipe. I doubt even if 5 per annum would sell. What was the company thinking when this was launched. Secondly, Very very few, including our members, would have heard about this brand. It has zero brand value in india.

I Think you get Audi A8 Armored for 30% of the money.

Re: Conquest Evade SUV launched in India

Isn't this the Gurkha that 'Rock' drives in the Fast Five?
I don't see it as a complete flop, though cost is way jacked up, from the number of Hummers(H3 excluded) there will be buyers for this, albeit only in single digits.

Re: Conquest launches Evade SUV in India

How does 3.19cr without duties translate to 8.5cr with duties? Does it come under a different type of vehicle because of its size?

Re: Conquest launches Evade SUV in India

An Audi Armoured + couple of ambassador cars with "Radio Waves detector" for detecting remote triggered bombs + Z Security + other bomb detectors + signal jammers works out cheaper than this SUV.

Secondly - how many people can afford this SUV and how many in that afford category would buy THIS Suv.

With the kind of scams that our politicians are pulling out each day, I am sure a fair amount of them will have their kids running around in such expensive toys.
