Spotted the same silver Hyundai i10 with Black cladding today being tested in front of Tidel Park, IT Highway , Chennai

What was interesting was - it was immediately followed by a Silver Chevy MPV - Enjoy with minimal cladding (Just some Blue Stripes on it)

The one thing which I noticed was one of the i10s had steel wheels, and when it accelerated away, black smoke came out of the exhaust.

I caught a pretty well camouflaged car enroute chennai. Not sure if it's ford hatch. It looked more in Nissan family though.

Awesome, I was planning to buy i10, but gazing through the images has made me to put a halt to my decision. Btw, will it hold the same price bracket as the ongoing one? I find the car above is wider and longer then the present gen i10.

Its quoted that:

Cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel, all-round electric windows, switchable ESP, keyless entry, push button start, climate control and even a heated steering wheel were all included on the test mule Autocar drove two months ago. Although undoubtedly spec-heavy for assessment purposes, it seems certain that Hyundai’s strategy for offering considerably more for much the same money will continue aboard the new i10.

I suppose the Cruise Control and ESP will be omitted in the Indian spec, but Hyundai has been aggressive in getting a "segment first" in their new launches.

They seem impressed by the performance & steering, but, I would prefer a full fledged review of the final product before one can compare the same with the market leader (Swift) in handling. I feel this could be launched a notch over the i10 in India, with both surviving side by side.

Highlights on the next generation i10:

• Keyless Entry with push button start
• More upmarket interiors with dual-tone finish
• Multi-Function steering wheel. Also comes with a heated option (unlikely to make it to India)
• Cruise control and switchable ESP
• Disc brakes all round
• Uses same platform as the Kia Picanto (wider track and slightly longer wheelbase will liberate more room)
• Hyundai has benchmarked European brands, instead of Japanese ones, for the new i10
• The new i10 will NOT be made in South Korea

That's AWESOME!! Glad my dad made me cancel the Fabia and asked me to wait for the new i10 Diesel. A perfect replacement for my i10 1.2 Sportz. Really happy to know the car is so well loaded! Just hope its priced correctly and well seeing the current pricing of Hyundai vehicles it will definitely be priced really well.

Here's one picture from my side. I was with this car from Pune till Toll plaza at Khalapur. Totally impressed by the highway manners of this car; could see the interiors to some extent but couldnt click. Snapped by wifey

Only question that I have now is, how come this car is now MH 12 registration now?

When i asked about this to a friend of mine working in the Hyundai Service Centre, he told me that it is going to named as i15 and is coming with a Diesel engine. i10 will still remain.

Could very well be true. The car is certainly 1 segment bigger than the current i10 (in the league of new Swift dimensions wize).

OT: They can offer 8 new models between I10 and I20
