Ten year olds will laugh at such a shoddy PS job these days. Looks more like cut+paste done within 15 minutes by a bored executive.

I guess this is a very important feature at their showrooms where some of their SAs need to be introduced to a modern day toiletry called soap.
I have had at least 2 cases where I had to walk away from the SA in Maruti due to this problem.

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

Ahem.. well few car companies & a big bike manufacturer are experts in creating such kind of new & useful features, that they have been offering for free & have the audacity to price these at a premium :-(

At least following should be added to the list to make it attractive:
1. Parking Sensors
2. Bluetooth connectivity
3. Better Tyres
4. Alloys
They saw your wishlist and added Bluetooth connectivity

But on a more serious note , Maruti would not be the first company which tries to pass of a perfume as a 'feature' or a 'valuable' accessory - listed on enough dealerships across brands as a generous freebie which the dealership is giving

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

The graphics on the car gave me hiccups.
It looks as though somebody is trying to mask 'A rated' content.
And if Fiat launches the Panda, who will buy the Wagon?

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

again maruti does this as they do with their other models regularly mostly on Lxi variants adding up accessories and naming it special edition variant.Why would one buy such variant in the first place where there's nothing special in it

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

Anybody with a little common sense won't go for this so called Limited Edition. Recent model of Waggy looks horrible in comparison to the older models but with ample inner space. The three cyl thrum is so pronounced along with the really bad low end response in this new model. A decent highway performer though with this free revving engine.
Putting body graphics on plain sheet metal won't make it a limited edition. Jago Maruti jago. You have already ruined the look of this car. Please stop here and bring a new model instead. Seriously, I feel Maruti is running out of good designs and designers.

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

This sure is a new one - Limited Edition Perfume.

So would the perfume be branded "Maruti Suzuki"

As some one earlier mentioned this would make sense only if the offer was to add this stuff free of cost to the existing model. Else it just works out to be an average deal - expecially as it would be dealer fitted.

But seriously adding perfume to the deal (am mentioning it (rather than just giving it free) makes this one drop to new levels in my view where they are attempting to make the list of items that are a part of the deal longer.

The stickering infact may not be to everyones taste so though they may take the offer they may just choose to not use the stickers.

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

Rather then all this that maruti keeps doing if they really want to add up their sales chart for all this models why not add alloys, better rubbers,good ICE options to choose within this pack of special edition and some good shades and make it special editions, say on their Vxi model or so on.

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

Maruti-Suzuki have launched another special edition Wagon-R christened as the "Madhavan Signature Edition". However, this time it does come with a bevy good features (highlighted), viz -
1. Kenwood 2-DIN audio system with USB and AUX support;
2. Rear parking sensors with a digital display;
3. A Bluetooth kit;
4. Art leather covered seats and steering wheel;
5. Door sill guard with the ‘Wagon R’ badging;
6. Full wheel covers;
7. Rear roof spoiler; &
8. R Madhavan (brand ambassador of Wagon-R) signed body graphics.

All these will cost Rs.20k incremental, which is basically a bargain, considering one needs to shell out Rs.30-35K additional for all these features.

What about All new "Stingray" ?
Is it that they have done away with the brand WagonR and launched it with new name? To me, nothing has changed except for name and advertising gimmicks

Re: Maruti launches special edition - Wagon R Pro

If there ever were an award for the most number of limited editions models, Maruti would surely win the Gold medal. Even categorically. It's amazing how Maruti churns up these so-called Limited editions by the numbers. Every single model that shows a decline in sales move to the "Limited edition" bin and then from there gets a few sticker jobs, some goodies, a funky paint job and voila! back on the street.

Unfortunately, not a single Limited-ed by Maruti has ever appealed to the mass market.

I was also thinking the same when I saw the piece of news/ad in the newspaper today.

This is weird promoting a car with Madhavan's signature. I would rather appreciate someone like Narain Karthikeyan or perhaphs some thing like what BMW has done towards its 1 series where Sachin Tendulkar unveiled the all-new BMW 1 Series alongside Indian race driver Armaan Ebrahim.
