How will Audi fare in India?

Now that Audi has some of its cars in India, how do you think it'll perform in the Indian market? Should they stop selling fully imported cars and start manufacturing them in India. Especially since BMW and Volkwagen are also coming to India. And Mercedes Benz is also strengthening its hold.

Audi can close it eyes and build a full assembly plant in India. Indians love and respect the Audi brand ever since Ravi Shastri was awarded that car in OZ.

Until, a manufacturer puts in proper infrastructure, do not expect too much. Mercedes have a head start. BMW sell a lot when a new model is introduced and then it slows down - based on what I see in Bangalore

Guys come on SERIOUSLY.. .the point of starting this thread is???
Its a reputed company we are talking about.. not some fly-by-night car manufacturer building cars in a shed.
I see absolutely no point in this thread.
