I believe it's same but the difference over Chandigarh is that Road Tax is calculated on Ex-Showroom prices less VAT in Punjab, unlike Chandigarh where it's calculated on Invoice prices less VAT. So in case you are buying something which has a Discount, you still will be paying Road Tax on List price.
