According to following report from Motorbash: http://motorbash.com/ritz-petrol-has...g-with-diesel/, petrol has also been facelifted.

Also, Team-BHPian revved_up has personally seen facelifted Ritz ZXis in Maruti's Gurgaon Fctory. Link:http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ml#post2853366

Whatever issues we face with the quality of Marutis we still feel relaxed due to unmatched after sales and service!
Yes, I agree with you completely. Rattles are minimal in Marutis and my experience had been with the 800 and Alto. Did almost a lakh kilometre with each consecutively. And the rattles from damaged bushes are fine as long I know where from they are cpming and the A$$ will know and correct them for sure. Am sure Maruti will not do anything else with any other car.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift launched, also introducing ZDi variant

ABS, Dual Airbags, Steering mounted controls,Electric mirrors in ZDi: Good, good move. Preference for the rest of the updates like 'improved rear seat ','choice of new colours','new alloy design' etc are of subjective nature which might vary from individual to individual. Is the ~70k over the old VDi premium worth it? We need to wait and watch.

PS: IMHO, the front has become as ugly as the rear now. The previous Ritz atleast had a good looking front.

I agree completely. Ritz probably is now the ugliest car on road.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift launched, also introducing ZDi variant

I prefer my one year old Ritz, its better looking than the new one. Why they haven't got an automatic Ritz VDI? When will these guys learn that we need a small diesel car with an automatic, easy to drive in our congested cities and easy to park.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift launched, also introducing ZDi variant

Saw the refreshed Ritz (white colour) today. Did not like the changed front end - definitely more droopy now.

Upside is nearly immediate delivery. Had gone to check out the new Mystique Red colour but no luck. In fact sales personnel kept insisting that the colour is simply the same Blazing Metallic Red as in the Swift :-).

I don't think the refresh will set the charts of fire. Swift will rule as before.

Folks who saw the new car in flesh, please post pics of interiors and updated MID if you have taken them. Am not able to find them anywhere on the web.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift launched, also introducing ZDi variant

I was at MSIL Gurgaon today, i saw a Ritz Automatic(ABS) being driven inside the plant by some employees.

I wonder why this variant was never launched.

Note: This was not a test car, this looked like any other car which is fresh out of the assembly line and ready for despatch.

The same link talks of the launch of Ritz automatic as well. So we will get to see the Ritz Auto soon

Is it just me.
I feel the new front is a significant improvement.

The rear still looks horrid though. Makes me think of a Unicorn with the back of a baboon.

Sorry for treading into a query.

Curious to know since you have access to the Maruti plants, are you an employee or vendor representative to MSIL since you get to see the internals of whats going on and posting regular updates here?

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift launched, also introducing ZDi variant

Though one week over after the launch of the facelift of Ritz, MSIL did not even cared to update their site with the details of this car. Even the dealers are not having the brochures with them. Strange!

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift launched, also introducing ZDi variant

Think they will go big when they launch the petrol and automatic versions. Logically speaking, diesel is good in demand so stocks wouldnt have piled up. Once the old version was stopped from being produced and the new version started rolling off the line, they had no other option but to start selling it. However, on the other hand, the petrol versions would have piled up in their yards due to lesser demand these days. So, if they launch the petrol facelift now itself, there will be no takers for the outgoing version, reason obviously known.

Once the petrol versions are emptied, there might be a full fledged launch and a detailed review by media. Today, there was an ad titled 'Introducing the new Ritz Diesel'. So it might take some more time for the petrol to arrive. This is just what I can imagine. I remember when the Current gen Honda City was launched, the older version was lying in stockyards and they were sold at throwaway prices. The same would have happened here too, if the petrol was launched simultaneously.
