The Exide ad was a refreshing change .... not to say the Amaron ad wasnt. Excellent background music, and the sequesnce of events keeps one guessing as to what the ads are all about.

Sorry for going a bit off topic. But just wanted to share a few NICE print ads for cars.

1) Ford Mondeo showcases its pickup speed with this stunner of an advertisement. Great execution.

2) One last piece from Volswagen for its Nueva Passat car. Here the emphasis on the luxurious back space available in the car. Again, great art work and execution .

3) Volkswagen comes with yet another winner for its Polo car in this classic advertisement. A little background may be essential to understand this one. The football rivalry between Germany and Holland is as big as that between India-Pak in cricket. This ad, which has the headline "Extremely Well Built." has a group of german football team supporters travelling in a VW Polo car among a gang of Dutch fans. And the rest is self-explanatory

4) Volkswagen Van came up with this brilliant idea to promote its carrying capacity as against many other cars:

Again - got these as forwards.

Enjoy

Does anyone know who is the Red Hot Lady in the new Indigo ad ("Lounge")?

The first one is a great one followed by the second. Very good ads.

Although the following ad is not for an indian car, i did not know how to classify the ad as such... comments awaited.

Car is an Isuzu Gemini from the 80s.

yeah the new Safari add is kinda lame...the safari can really handle that well?? lol. I liked the jumping ad better..i mean that is like SUV stuff you can do. The fiesta ads are ok. What i find so interesting is that Honda can sell their cars so well, yet not one ad talking about their products in india other than the FCX on tv. Maybe the print ads are working...

Chevy Optra, Palio, Nike, Some Underwear

The Best Ad I still remember is that of the Chevorlet Optra when
it was launched in India. Boy did they do some Homework or what!

The Music is awesome (Indian Cultural na nanana nananaaaaaasssss)
The Wife is waiting for her husband to come and she wants to break her
fast (Karwachaut). The Hubby arrives in his car. But wait a minute...
The moons not visible behind the trees or the clouds(I don't remember). They go for a ride. She completes the ritual through a sun roof. Man the music was very soothing.

Another one was of the Fiat Palio. This dude at the petrol pump is waiting
for someone to come up and take a fill. The way he gets exited and run with the filler in hand and his dissapointing looks when asked for a route and the bathroom was awesome. I hope everyone remembers that.

Apart from Cars i remember an ad for NIKE. Intense Tennis match. Even the crowd biting nails. Player about to serve(i think match point). A dog cooly trots his way towards the net (silence till here) Start peeing at the net pole. The crowd go cheering after the mutt is done. Screen Blanks out and there come the tick saying 'Just Do it' with the logo. Crowd still cheering.

Then where was this banner in the US saying "This Town does not have termites" made of wood , half eaten by termites.

Then the Famous "TOM DICK HARRY" the "DICK" was in underwear. and the logo showing.

I believ that jingle was used to launch the Chevrolet brand name in india, and not necessarily the Optra. Correct me if i am wrong. Well made i must admit. The later ones from them, namely the Aveo have the brickbats reserved for it.

Hmm

Maybe you are right Ben,
I disctinctly remember the lady sitting in the car and
her face lights up when the sun roof lifts/slides and the
moon light shines on her face.

Whatever, but very nicely done. The car they we in
sure looked like an Optra.

On the similar lines was the family Tavera. Same music,
re-made sort of ( a fast Number )
