Maybe we should move this discussion to the "Discontinued or Not?" thread, if there is one.

@SirAlec - The Nexia was an awesome car. Along with the parent company going flop, I feel the other reasons it flopped were because -
- it looked like a Cielo
- Wasn't marketed properly. Very few people had heard of the car then before the company pulled out. If I ever mention the word Nexia, most people are like huh?

We owned one in the family and I had posted a review a long time ago. Here it is, with pics for those who are interested in knowing more about the car -

All have seem to forgotten the Petrol version of Qualis.Dont have much info regarding it but as far as i can remember it came with an Alpine player factory fitted.

No way can the ZenD or Esteem D be regarded as flops in HYD.They have a great demand in yhe used market and sell at 50-80k more then their petrol counterparts of the same vintage.

Any ideas why the opel Vectra did not catch up (when the opel brand was going strong)? Looks awesome that car.

These are my thoughts-

Vectra was launched in 2003, at a time when Opel brand was suffering in India. This was the same year the GM introduced the Chevrolet brand in India with the launch of the Tavera. However, Opel continued to co-exist with Chevrolet.

It was priced higher than the successful Honda Accord and did not have a diesel option!

Few days after the introduction of the Vectra, Honda unveiled the seventh generation Accord which destroyed all the others in the segment, as we all know.

I wish the Vectra was launched today, IMO it was launched way early for the market.

I feel the Vectra was launched too early in the market. At that time, the price at which it was launched for way too high, even for the InfoTech fellows.

i Agree, a modified relaunch may work well in the B and C class cities.
