Don't know if 1.9 D production has stopped, but it's definitely available. I asked a FIAT dealer a month ago and though they said no test drive car was available in Bombay, they said the car would be available for purchase.

Some more phased models are mahindra voyager, mahindra Armada, mahindra Classic, HM trekker , TATA mobile , Ashok leyland’s first attempt to make bonnet cabins was a flop(forgot the name), TATA estate….dont remember anymore!

And there is a car missing in the list the S class (1998-2005) generation.When I go on mercedes-benz India website they don't mention that model anymore.Seems to have stopped production.When will be the new S class assemble in Pune??????

this model was launched to the world markets in 2000.

Is Maruti Alto going to b phased out soon as well?

Heard this rumor from someone in who deal with Car loans. And since I am planning to buy Alto at end of January, this is a rumor I can do without.

@Ram, beautiful sketch, that.

Guys, any one remember a more graceful version of the Contessa, in Mumbai ? Used to see a car in the late 90's, in Mumbai, which looked to be exact same proportions as the Conti, but with subtler lines. It used to sport a NCG dealer badge.

Always wondered if this was a variant from NCG itself (they were dealers for the Conti, I guess).

Lets not forget the M800 with the 12 valve head and five-speed box. that was a real rocket for an 800. Maruti made this for a very short time before stopping it as it was hurting Alto
