Audi completely outfoxed Mercedes & BMW here. A very smart marketing move, especially considering the rise of the female professional & entrepreneur in India, and their influence on any family's purchase decision.

Gul Panag introduced ‘Audi Q Life’ at the Women’s Power Drive in Mumbai. Audi organized this program to get women behind the wheel of its "Q" range of SUVs, including the Q3, Q5 and Q7.

“The notion that SUVs are being chosen by men only is passé. Undeniably, these sporty vehicles have fast gained a preference among today’s women. A good number of our luxury SUVs are being driven by women in India.”,
said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.

A great marketing move by Audi! Seems they want to kick the boys at BMW for the first position and keep the Mercedes boys behind! They have understood the fact that women too have an influence in family decisions and considering the modern times where most women now prefer to drive the SUVs, this is a smart move by them. The Audi Q-SUVs already have a large fanbase in India and this move triggers their position and value in India.

Hope BMW have seen this. They must act as quickly as possible so to avoid the situation of checkmate!

Definetly a good move. The Audi Marketting guys deserve a raise. There are a good number of ladies who drive SUVs and influence thier better halves / decision maker in leaning towards the Audi Brand

So that's wht it was! I saw a bunch of Q7 with the Quattro and Leh-Ladakh stickers on the side going past my place a week or so ago.
