Auto Expo 2014: Fiat Avventura compact crossover spied by ACI.
Fiat Avventura likely to run on 89bhp 1.3 Multijet diesel engine.

Quote:
The Avventura is based on the same platform as the Fiat Punto hatchback and features bold cladding on the lower portion of the bumpers and doors to lend it a tough look. The bumpers also have brushed metal effect detailing on them and the new car gets an open mouthed look with high-set projector headlights. Towards the rear, though you can make out that the shoulder line was taken from the Punto, the design is a lot more evolved. With a tail-gate mounted spare wheel and 200mm ground clearance, the Fiat Avventura looks like its somewhere between the Ford EcoSport and crossovers like the VW Cross Polo.

Looks too Spark'ish! Tall & Narrow. Kind of relieved that Punto's rear has been spared from the torture!

Everything looks good except the rear mounted spare wheel.
  1. New Tail lamps
  2. New Alloy wheel design (looks 17" to me)
  3. Colour striped tyres
  4. ORVMs with indicators
  5. New dash
  6. New Headlamps
  7. Rear fog lamps
  8. Black side mouldings
  9. Roofrails
  10. Rear disc brakes
  11. DRLs
  12. Twin exhaust pipes
To do justice to such a sporty looking car, they should have a 1.6 engine and probably a 4X4 option.
Lets see what other things are revealed in the Fiat's 20 minute exhibition slot which is in the afternoon I guess.

Is it too much too late? Will Fiat cars sell here...only time will tell.

Edit: Pardon my ignorance but, can anyone tell me if its just a concept or an actual launch?

New dash? Is it the one which is going to debut in Linea? Also I guess there is a DRL just above the front fog lamp. I just dont get the logic behind the new name. At the end of the day, Its still a Punto with few changes. I hope FIAT at least gets this with 1.6 MJD and/or 1.4 TJet.

Wow! Hatchback on stilts has takes a whole new meaning now.

Curious. How's the rear hatch going to be opened?

I can see a lot of people imitating you now, since the part will be available off the shelf in service centers.

Not a bad move from FIAT. Car looks meaty and better than its competition - the Cross Polo and Fabia Scout. Pricing is all that matters though!

Fiat seems to have done a good job. Love the alloys and the colour striped tyres.

I see dual exhausts ! I hope this has the T-Jet under the hood. For the diesel the 1.3L is enough, but they really need a new gearbox.

You are right CrAzY dRiVeR.
If you have seen 3Idiots movie, there's a dialogue from Boman Irani.
Refering to Neil Armstrong, He says "People who do something new for the first time will be remembered, the second person to do the same will not be"
I'm nothing compared to Neil, but I'm happy that atleast one person knows that I did it first

Valentine's day is coming soon and let me see I can do something to my car to keep my car unique.

And yes, you are spot on - pricing will be a big factor to compete with Polo Cross and Fabia Scout.
With Fiat's image, it becomes all the more important.

At last, FIAT jumped into the CUV [contemporary utility vehicle as coined by FIAT!] bandwagon by showcasing FIAT Avventura in Auto Expo 2014. Who knows, it may become another EcoSport! FIAT is learning ABC of Indian way of car-making and selling, it seems. FIAT-Chrysler has not named it as Adventure. Perhaps, they don't want any more misadventures with Adventure!

Pricing would definitely matter and the discounts that follow after a month or two also would matter. Somehow with Fiat, the discounts do matter quite a bit for a sale.

Where is the 200mm GC that ACI was talking about? This mod job on the Punto in my opinion takes "pretentiousness" to a higher level!
