Audi has added the petrol variant to its Q3 model.

The 2.0-litre TFSI engine makes 208.1bhp and 30.6kgm aided by the seven-speed automatic gearbox with a claimed mileage is 11.7kpl.

Good to see the 200bhp 2.0tfsi, unlike the 185bhp version A4 they had launched with CVT earlier. The Q3, while it is a glorified Yeti is still a great package. With this engine and the DSG it really is quick. I hope the 27l price tag is for the higher model.

Also a good move launching this just before the facelifted X1, which is probably going to have the 2.0 184bhp petrol engine too.

If TG website is to be believed, 27.37 lakhs is for the base variant, and rises up to Rs 32.66 lakhs for the top-end High variant (Ex-Showroom, Mah.)

Great offering by Audi ! They probably are the most aggressive of all the 3 german luxury brands.
With a 0 to 100 below 7 seconds and FE of approx 8-9kmpl in the city, this is quite a package !

The Q3 has the 7 speed DSG (not the one on the Superb). DSGs aren't all that bad man, they just require some extra care, but yes if you have bad luck they can fail even after taking care of them.

The A4 and A6 sport the CVT in the 2.0 TDI Models and DSG in the 3.0 CRDI and 3.0 TFSI Models.

The Q (or SUV) Range of Audi has the DSG as the Default Transmission on all models and with all engines be it 2.0 TDI (Q3, Q5), 2.0 TFSI (Q3) or the 3.0 TDI (Q5,Q7) and even the 4.2 TDI on Q7.

The DSG - 7 Speed Transmission (DQ 500) of Audi is different from the 7 Speed Transmission of Skoda (DQ 200) as the Audi version is a variation of Original Wet Clutch DSG (DQ 250) seen on the likes of VW Jetta, Skoda Superb Diesel and Skoda Laura Diesel. The DQ 200 which is Dry Clutch is the problematic one and is mostly seen on the Petrol Variants of Skoda Superb and Laura TSI.

BMW has closed the gap with their Facelifted X1 which has the sweet 8 Speed ZF Transmission. Q3 will now face some serious competition from X1. Good for us

Is there only one trim level in Q3 petrol? I heard its a CKD, is it really true?
