Yeah. I was thinking about how familiar the wheels looked, but you've placed it. But it seems that the CDI may get different wheels, and the CGI misses out on the panorama roof. I wonder they'll continue to offer the car only in Avantgarde trim. IMO, the pre- facelift car looked better in Elegance trim, but that's always subjective.

ARENT the wheels of the E-Class that OD tested look similar to the ones on the A-Class?

From the front it looks like a C class and the wheels look like they are from the A class. If the engine options are the same, I think one should take advantage of the discounts on the older model and go for it instead of the face lifted one.

Some pre-launch details.

Speedy was right,the car is coming out with 2 engines currently only.The E200CGI and the E250CDI.

A special launch edition is coming out of which each city would be getting 4-5 cars only.
They would be launched in three colors,white,silver and brown.The launch edition has 18" wheels,Harmon Kardon Audio,Panaromic Sunroof and some kind of special piping on the seats.
Expected launch price would be around 52-55lakhs on road.

More details would be best left out to the pros.

Autocar India has done a test drive of the vehicle, and are estimating the price to be around 44.5L ex-showroom.
This pricing seems more in line with the pricing history of the car IMHO. And it will be head on pricing with the Jaguar XF 2.2d.
It does seem like it will be between 52 to 55L depending on which city the registration takes place.

The car does seem to have the potential to lure buyers contemplating between the A6, 5 and the Jag.

I find the sporty and rather "young" looking front to be a mis-match from the more elegant and "mature"/boxy lines of the rest of the car. It just doesn't work for me.
