For me the EcoSport Discoveries campaign has failed to generate the level of buzz Ford was looking for. Also, now that EcoSport is already displayed in many towns, people have done a detailed postmortem and discussed everything including the Pros and Cons.

What we see or read now are the same pics and concerns about space for rear seat passengers.

I hope this fact will push Ford to pre-pone its launch in May. It should be OK even if they were to give deliveries end of June.

While I am looking at buying a new car in July / August, now I am not sure if EcoSport is the one for me. Honestly, I would rather buy Fiesta hatchback with its new Aston martin looks than EcoSport. The problem is, even that is not available.

Ford is expected to launch 8 new cars by 2015, 2 of these are already known to us, the new Fiesta which has been launched already and the EcoSport which which will be launched shortly. I am not sure how they will manage to launch others like New Endeavor, Fiesta hatchback, Mondeo , B max, Entry level hatchback and 1 more in a space of 1.5 years

A little OT, but connected: The interiors of the EcoSport and the Fiesta are a lot similar, rather same? Well, me thinks, why not plonk the 1.0 EcoBoost in the Fiesta too, I know its all the premium, new market, etc marketing and branding stuff that might work against it. But still I see a lot of views (Team-Bhp or otherwise) had the rear boostspace a big issue, also with the leg room. Well, the new Fiesta has both these better than the EcoSport, what do you lose Ford if this do this? You might as well get the assembly lines of the Fiesta to some use. The all new Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost could be a new category of sedans (I am omitting the Linea TSI here until its makes some noticeable numbers). The rear bench of the fiesta needs to be fixed for sure, but then while the EcoSport shares so many parts with the Fiesta, it would make a lot of sense to position the Fiesta better. For drool how about a 1.0 Fiesta EcoBoost with 6 Speed Dual clutch? Auto + Turbo Petrol + 15 kmpl city drive!

This is bound to happen. Once Ford gets he Ecosport act together (well first they need to release it!), 2014 should see a Fiesta face lift with the Ecoboost coming in.

This fiesta has been around for a while in UK now (picked UK cause european versions tend to be closer to what we get i guess).

So we should probably expect the new fiesta's with Aston Martin'ish kinda nose coming in probably with this engine. Not sure if Ford will invest in changing the older versions we get with the new 1.0 Ecoboost for India.

I hope everyone in Chennai would have seen this car by now. Its heavily tested. I found this near Vellore and then near Chennai. It overtook and I was unable to chase it with my Scorpio as I didn't want to overspeed. From my chase for about 20 kms, I found this vehicle a very capable car. Easily reaching 120 kms an hour, Looks very agile on road with shear performance.
I am not sure, what I'd seen is a Petrol or Diesel. Here is my dose.

I find some resemblance of X1 in its rear design and also in alloys.
BTW, I saw another Maroon one near Chengalpattu. It was so fast to go closure. :-) I would love to TD is as soon as it launches.

just spotted an orange ecosport with temporary [red ones with "wb xx tc xxxx] number plate in front of SAI in salt lake, kolkata. Have to say, looks more impressive on road than in pictures. BTW, I was under the impression that the ecosport wont be launched before june. So how is it already on the roads?

Though i am not sure on the launch date but that could be a test vehicle or might be one of those vehicles seen on the public events.

Wow. Looks so small when compared with Mahindra Xylo. I guess this is illusion as cars towards edge of the snap are looking big, even Alto looks big

Man you are lucky! Here we took off our time and managed to squeeze in the mall to have a look and in your case the car has come to your office and that too in the different color (Frankly, am bored to death with those Mars Red Ecosport pics )

This is a very nice photo stream. Shows the comparison with the other hatches and cars and I must say, Ecosport surely looks futuristic and leagues ahead of other hatches/ cars in the current market. Love the way they have put the wheel on rear door Thanks a lot for the pics.
