Re: The "Low Mileage" Car Thread! How low is your running?

Bought a Lexus ES350 in March 2011, and now in September 2013, the odometer reads just a little over 16,000 km (under 550 km per month). Previous car was a Toyota Avalon that was owned from 2000 to April 2011 and had less than 70,000 km on the odometer (under 600 km per month). I also want to add that there were no breakdowns with either car, other than the battery needing replacement.

Re: The "Low Mileage" Car Thread! How low is your running?

I bought a Honda Amaze in July 2018. In the first 3 years I drove it for 13,000 km. In the last 9 months, I have driven 9,000 km. I did not drive much in the first year as I was new to driving a manual car and I was scared of Bengaluru traffic. In the last 9 months I had made frequent trips to my home town which is 350 km from Bangalore and hence the increase in kilometers driven

Re: The "Low Mileage" Car Thread! How low is your running?

I received my brand new Grand i10 NIOS on 20th March and it had 47 Kms on Odometer from showroom. As of today, odo is 130 Kms. So yes we have driven the car only 83 Odd Kms. The car was bought for more local usage and my wife drives primarily from home to kid's school and back (2 Kms away). Hence low running. The max we will drive in one go one way would be next week when we intend to visit Ikea. Still It won't increase total by 100. But yes later on, once kids have vacation, we intend to go Lonavala and such.

My brand new City bought on 20th last month has only done 253km so far. I should plan a trip.

Re: The "Low Mileage" Car Thread! How low is your running?

Thanks to extended WFH my running has really come down now(Used to cover 20k kms per year on my Ertiga before). My both cars combined has I guess around 10K kms since March 2020 till now.

I expect the same to continue at least this year. I don't really need two cars any more and also no point switching to EV for such low running use case.

Did I read that right or is it a typo? 25 kms per month.

Yesterday me and my father were arguing about the low running of our respective scooters. He has been averaging 1000 km pa for a decade now while ours has done 1900 in the 1st year. Guess we are not so bad after all.
