Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

List of cars that I wanted in India:

1. Audit Sport
2. i20 with Verna's diesel engine - It will be a real torgue monster with loads of power and features
3. Elantra with a 2.0 liter diesel engine. The current one with 1.6 is ot suited to the segment.
4. VW golf series

A different perspective of what was already available but never made it.

To me the phased out SRV was a real head turner. Even today morning I saw one on the road and happy to see one. I would have loved GM to launch it with better a gear box and a powerful diesel.

The Indian Teana is based on the Nissan D platform (used in both North American models of Altima & Maxima) but im afraid both are not the same.

Do we have a slightly longer variant of the Mahindra Thar? If so I wish a manufacturer would launch that!

Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

BMW 125i
BMW 125i
BMW 125i

I swear to God, if thy launch this car at about 22 ex-showroom, I would be the first one to buy it.

I say the 125i instead of the 135i because
a) I wouldn't need 300 plus horsepower on Indian roads.
b) The quality of petrol needed for the 135i is not easy to get around here and is expensive
c) For the mass, it would mean a hatchback being priced next to the base 320d. It will not sell.

As a huge fan, I wish BMW had introduced the 1M in India. Now that it is on it's way out, I hope a handful of the upcoming 2M series make it to our shores.

Really wish if FIAT could do local production in India. Just love this Car.

Fiat 500 Abarth
1.4L MultiAir Turbo engine, specially-tuned suspension and brake systems, upgraded technology on the inside, and far more aggressive looks on the outside.

It’s already a thing of the past. Only limited numbers were produced with key markets getting a certain allotted numbers. Singapore got 40, and one of my neighbour have a white number. Every time I see that, I feel like going and asking him if he want to sell it. And quite immediately the reality hits – I cannot afford one

Here in Singapore a low mileage (20-30K kms) used 1M costs close to SGD 250K (approx. 1 crore)!

It's pretty much the Verna in Kia clothes, correct? Of course looks are totally different, Kia has generally styled their cars with restraint, whereas Hyundai has gone all overboard.
