^ Current Gen Isuzu D-Max, looks stunning and would be extreme value at currently priced twin cab pick up variant

The one India got is previous gen

I wish practical sports variants like Civic Type R, Golf GTI, proper Skoda VRs variants, Vauxhall VXR, Renault Megane Club Sport, Peugeot 208GTi and Ford ST variants are launched here in India.

The 2013 Shelby GT350;

Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India-022013shelbygt350fd620x350.jpg

Tech specs;

Supercharged 5.0L V8
624 hp & 726 NM of Torque
0-100kph in 3.7 seconds
Top Speed of 305 km/h
Pricing: 59,000 U$ (Only 32L, before duties that is)
IMO even if it comes to India @ 75L ex-show room price it will be extreme value.

But this car makes it to this thread majorly because it is a M/T

Now lets just hope by next gen Ford starts making RHD Mustangs

Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

Alfa Romeo hatchbacks are eye-poppingly gorgeous. The Giulietta and the MiTo are stunning cars. To hell with poor after-sales-service. When your car looks that good, it doesn't matter if it splutters and breaks down. in fact, anything from Alfa would be welcome!

I'd love to see VW bring the Scirocco and sell it here, and the Golf as well. The Ford Fiesta hatch would be another car I'd like to see here. The Renault Megane and Clio and all their iterations.

Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

I so really wish Ford were to launch their iconic muscle car in India with their proper MT. That would herald a new generation of exotic muscle cars in India. Even if they launch their plain vanilla 5.0L Mustang without any type of forced induction, it should cost a couple of lakhs below their Shelby variants. They would sell well in India because of their sheer lineage and looks.
And if wishes were to come true, then we should also get Chevy Camaros and Dodge Challengers in India at the same price as the Mustang. I so dream of seeing these muscle cars in traffic light drags with them leaving long tire marks as they accelerate wildly with their engines singing in all their old American V8 glory.

Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

My first wish would be a proper hatch. A vRS or a GTI from VW could be a great start.
Though, as we heard, the Punto Abarth is coming soon!!

Another one would be the 4WD EcoSport. Considering the price of the 2WD, I guess it will be priced sensibly as well, so would still be affordable enough for the masses.

Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

I love big, bad, brute American trucks/4X4 pickups. Give me a Ford F-150 or a GMC Denali or a Chevy Silverado and I would be extremely happy. I understand India doesn't have the infrastructure for such huge vehicles but it would be eye-candy to see such monsters on the road.

More importantly, these monsters should have a bumper sticker that reads "Make way for your daddy". Would love to see the faces of all quasi-SUV owners

Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

Nissan Versa Note - same platform as Micra / Sunny, with a lot of parts bin components - so should be relatively cheap to make. The car itself is a large hatch back - more in the Jazz mould and would give Nissan the perfect filler between the Micra and the Sunny.

Re: Cars we wish manufacturers would launch in India

Toyota FJ Cruiser of course in RHD

The scrapped dies of Landcruiser 90 series can be put to good use.

A manual hub locking soft top 4x4 90 Prado would do the job perfect. TX or TZ.

Another option for Toyota would be to launch Daihatshu Rocky here with a soft top and a 1.8 L or 2 litre Diesel Engine.

How I wish for these cars to be available in India. A Thar beater and a Scorpio beater.
