Jazz offers more flexibility with all the magic seats etc.
Agree with you in each and every point. The Amaze dash design is horrible and something you would not put even in budget hatchback.

But In india do you think there will be any takers for Jazz if it is priced above Amaze. Here people equate pricing as SUV>Sedan>Hatch. Ecosport,Dzire are some examples. I personally would not go for either Amaze or Jazz but for the Brio. It is the lightest, fastest and the most agile. Sure the dash is an eyesore but then I can compromise it for the performance it offers.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

If one sits inside the Jazz ,one will notice the interior space is more then the Amaze and with a boot size of 384 liters, which can be expanded to 900liters if one wants to take additional load.So yes there will be takers considering that the new Jazz will have a increased wheel base and length which would mean that there will be even more interior space and boot compared to the existing Jazz.

Internationally in most markets Jazz is even priced higher then the City.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

The next generation Honda Jazz would achieve the best fuel economy, not only for a Honda or a Japanese product, but in the world.

The hybrid Jazz will achieve 36km/l (102mpg) in Japan’s Transport Ministry Test, known as JCO8. Until now, the Toyota Aqua (also called the Prius city) with it’s 35.4km/l and the Toyota Prius at 30km/l bettered other the Honda products. The recently launched Accord Hybrid has a commendable 30km/l efficiency and the new Jazz will obviously be better in that respect.

For India, the Jazz will be available with a diesel engine option also, expect an early 2014 launch!

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

There is one way Jazz can sell in India. Put the spare wheel on the hatch, increase the ride height by a few inches, call it Honda CR-J and launch in the price range of 7-10 lacs.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

It now gets a Civic inspired cockpit for the speedo( notice the lip above the steering wheel OR probably this could just be for the Hybrid) and a CVT & 1.5L i-vtec as well. Overall the dashboard and the front appear bigger than its predecessor, which is a good sign. Honda are claiming a mileage of 36kpl on the hybrid, which is higher than the Prius in Japan. So they are taking the battle to Toyota finally! Just hope they retain the brilliant interior packaging and those iconic magic seats. The production begins this month, so expect day light pictures any time soon! So finally, its coming..it is coming!

I agree. With localization, it could be a reality for that price bracket, otherwise they would fall into the same trap.
6-8 bracket for a 1.5 Diesel Honda... does sound a little tricky. Interesting days ahead for Honda & for prospective buyers.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

Anyday I would love to pick one up, because I have always felt that this is one of the best cars that honda had on Indian roads. But failed due to overambitious pricing and the cut later on. This car truly lives upto Honda philosophy of Man maximum and machine minimum. They have nicely packaged the car with all features, a top notch refined petrol engine and space which can put any entry level sedan to shame. I missed buying this in 2011 because of the delivery delays due to Thailand floods. Will have to wait and see how this sells alongside Amaze. Honda, if you are listening, at least this time give a sensible ground clearance for India

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

The good bit about the Jazz and all its current owners is, its a vehicle they love and still remained the best hatch in its segment. So that percent of the audience is still awaiting a hatch from Honda. Still awaiting an exciting all round package! And this time around, it will have takers.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

The 2014 Jazz is going to get a a whole lot roomier inside if the below brochure scan is true ,which tells us a significant increase in interior space compared to the existing Jazz.Apart from Sunny there won't be any car under 10lakh that can match the interior space of the 2014 Jazz.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

Looking at the spy pics coming up and the fact that Honda has already stopped the production of car, it seems that the car is destined for earlier launch then what is speculated.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

Some more pictures. The blue one looks smashing! Hope we get it. Just notice the front fenders edge, thats a hideous panel intruding out. Looks like early prototype renditions, which will be sorted out. The honey comb grille one looks like the diesel version and the others, the petrol.

^The one without the grill is probably the basic model while the one with grill are the RS model or models like the X variant.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

The new Honda Jazz is a head turner. Going by the details available, I think it can be an alternative to entry level sedan. I am eagerly waiting for seeing it in flesh. I think a perfect vehicle to upgrade from my current Brio.

re: The 2015 Honda Jazz (3rd-gen)

The new version looks fabulous. Honda surely knows how to make beautiful cars. The Jazz aka Fit is one hot hatch which is spacious and loaded with features. The estimated fuel efficiency of 36 kmpl is simply outstanding Just hope that Honda prices it sensibly in its second iteration
