Just came across the article in Team-BHP News section.

The article mentions

Quote:

The centre console of the car is also similar to that of the City, but the climate control system is missing.
and

Quote:

The lack of cruise control and climate control suggest that this is not the top-end variant of the Jazz. It is probably the S CVT trim level of the car. Higher variants are likely to get at least climate control.
The sections marked in bold are absolutely wrong. Firstly, the picture clearly shows the touch panel ACC, doesn't it? I am very sure, it is the touch-panel ACC as we can see the reflection of the flash in it and City too has the same unit - which looks like a simple black panel until the engine is turned on.

Another point of contention is the presumption that the spied car is an 'S' model - How in the world :Frustrati. I am 100% sure it is NOT. Reason - This has
  1. Touch-panel ACC
  2. Paddle shifters
  3. 5" Audio player unit
  4. Bluetooth telephony buttons on steering wheel
  5. Leather-wrapped steering wheel
  6. Silver inserts on the steering wheel
- a combination found ONLY in VX version and above of the City. The spied Jazz is definitely a V or VX variant of the CVT Jazz. I am shocked to see such errors in a Team-BHP news article, something we DO NOT expect.

Request the author to make necessary corrections, please: if my points above seems legit.

I don't think it's a team BHP reporting in that sense. It's just picked up news from the web and posted it (in this case from car Dekho). So it may have some incorrect elements at the time but then it's just reposting news here with the source duly quoted.

My error. Sorry about that. Modified the article.

No Axe77, I had cross-checked with Cardekho article before raising it here. I raised this only because I found the Team-BHP content to be different. :)

Thanks Aditya!!!

The Honda Jazz spied at a Honda dealership! The car is a petrol CVT version, possibly sent for an official dealership preview.

Thanks RavenAvi!!!

Listed below are some of the points I could observe from the spied car.

Looks like they have removed the stub type antenna from the car.

Is it possible that they have a 'Black Edition' for Jazz just like they had for the Brio?
With black interiors and all?
Then it makes sense. :)

One thing which is missing badly is the front side driver arm rest which i consider is a must on a high end hatch.

Very much a possibility, not just because they have an all black variant in Brio, but because the earlier Jazz had a Jazz X variant which had a black interior with blue accents on the seats. Very classy it was indeed.

Looks like the variant shown in RavenAvi's post below is the V variant (am guessing it based on the pic of the hatch where it has the variant nomenclature mentioned below the Jazz branding).

So it means there could be a VX & a VX (O) with many more features comparable to the current City.

The good thing is that whatever beige in there can be covered easily. From the looks of it, I don't see it on the dash, carpet and other interior bits except for the seats and one small trim on each pad thankfully. The seats and pad can easily be masked with black art/ genuine leather. So, can be made better with some mods. :)

It looks like this spied CVT variant has a badge which says V. If we look at the previous two spied variants they have a badge of VX and S.

There are differences as can be noticed in all 3.

VX - Comes with a sporty rear spolier with micro antenna and rear wiper
V - Has a micro antenna and rear wiper
S - Does not have a micro antenna and wiper at rear. It will come with long antenna towards the front

Very much possible in the top-most VX / VX(O) variants. If I observe correctly, the cars earlier spied by Gaadivaadi with a VX badge had black seats and appeared to have adjustable headrests.

Oh Yes, will be especially useful in the CVT variant.

The badge is not very clearly visible in the new pics - it definitely has a V but not sure if it is V or VX.

If the newly spied one is indeed the VX variant, the VX (O) will most probably have the sporty spoiler + black interiors + Touchscreen HU + AVN - this might be available only in the manual version though.

Yes deetjohn. That is correct, but extra bucks you know stupid: Having them factory fitted will be the most preferable option. Anyways, at least we have an option.

Hmm Damager21, I can definitely see a V in the badge, not sure if it is the V or VX variant. Like I said above, if the newly spied one is a 'V', the VX is getting the sporty spoiler and black interiors and if this is a VX, the VX(O) will get the additional options. I somehow, hope every feature is provided in some trim or other.

I may be wrong but the pic above seem to suggest that the interiors are black.

Yes Turbo_Torq, it is definitely black in this pic. That definitely gives me a lot of hope unless Honda has decided in favor of Beige in the production version.

why does the automatic top end not get all the options,

what i would love is a vx(o) automatic, i would definitely put my money on it for getting all factory fit options than spending more outside.
