^^^ It seems so... with the redesign, & the Regn. Plate moving to rear bumper, I guess they need to have a mount for the camera. But, it is good that they have got a compact design, which won't be an eyesore if painted in body colour.

Not sure why they are not trying the rear camera mounted on bumper, like the one we can have from the car accessories guy.

low profiles (though these are no exactly low profile tyres in Europe) are a big no-no in India as the ride would be bone jarring & not exactly the soft & plush kind of ride we expect from cars here.

Any enthusiast would can definitely pimp up his ride even better than this.

It's very difficult to tell from the set of pictures we have, as the dimensions still remain unknown. Some believe it will definitely be just below 4m (like the current car), but others claim it looks longer than 4m. It's also possible that Hyundai may modify the car to measure less than 4m in India, if the international model's length is within 4.05 m.

It looks quite long, but then again it could be an optical effect because it's a bit shorter (in terms of height) and a bit wider as well. The rear door does look somewhat larger, which could mean a slightly longer wheelbase, but the rear seat may be positioned a tad lower because of the lower roof.

Hyundai has a very methodical approach to upgrading models. Usually every model change is noticeably an improvement in almost everyway. Because Hyundai has announced that its priority is to please European buyers, the focus now is to improve the ride-quality and upgrade build quality more than ever. An example can be the 2014 i10, which is wider, longer and lower slung than before, with class-leading space and build quality, result - it is already 2014's Car of the Year in 2 European media reviews.

Improving space inside needn't necessarily be about extending wheelbase, a well proportioned interior setup with cleverly arranged seating can liberate an extra inch easy with the existing length. Safety features in the form of Tyre-Pressure Monitoring (TPMS), cruise control, shall make it as they're already in 2014 i10. Active-cruise control is a possibility, along with ESP, 7 airbags, 2-steering modes and front and rear parking sensors (all present in current i30). Plastics and interior build is expected to be segment-leading and 2 levels above the current. Expect soft touch plastics, full front arm-rest and rear-a.c vent. Indian version as usual maybe a little different, not because Hyundai cannot release the same model here, but more because of the pricing game. Since driving stability is the new focus expect a shorter car (atleast 1465mm down from current 1490- may not apply to India in the interest of g.c) and wider stance.

We have just plumped the cash in for an I20 Asta petrol for my Dad and it will turn up in another week or ten days. I sincerely wish I could pay some rupees more and ensure we get things like 4 Disc Brakes, 6-7 Airbags and ESP in addition to the stuff already present in the version being purchased. Yes there is the option of booking and waiting three months for an Asta (O) but from what I can see the only extras that we get for that 50 grand more in cost is 4 more airbags and a sunroof. The sunroof is not useful for India and we can happily eschew the same in favour of those 4-5 more airbags, ESP, 4 Disc brakes etc.

The current gen I20 measures 3995mm in length. The same as the Swift Dzire! And its luggage carrying capacity is certainly better on account of the flat folding 60:40 split rear seats. Very nice.

I wish these manufacturers would start releasing more options of the better kitted out versions of their cars here in India, specifically in terms of safety.

The guys over at WorldCarFans have snapped the 2015 i20 inside and out during it's cold weather testing in Northern Europe.

Dressed in heavily camouflage, the prototypes have an evolutionary design which looks more upscale than its predecessor.
We can't make out too many details but the model has an upward sweeping beltline, restyled mirrors and a more stylish greenhouse. The hatchback also sports muscular wheel arches and a prominent character line that starts under the A-pillar. Our spies were only able to snap one interior photo but it doesn't show much besides two-tone upholstery.

Swift and Polo are benchmarked in ride dynamics for the Next Gen i20!

The i20 suspension is tuned very softly and the steering wheel is too light to help city driving. In higher speeds it cannot be pushed to limit, now the Korean carmaker will make significant improvements to the i20 suspension as expect tosee that the segment benchmark for road dynamics the Polo and Swift is compared head to head with the new generation i20.
