Hi Dada,

Whats the latest on your friends car ? Regarding the difference in the paint shade, could have happened while in transit. ( I have also known of a case where the car was damaged immediately after purchase by the family member and the damage was covered up elsewhere for the fear of being reprimanded). The dealer would have done a touch up job pre-delivery. The paint section of both the dealers i.e. Prerna and Manipal is excellent. I have never seen the quality of their work elsewhere. I am sure they would redo the job if one is not satisfied.

The FRP stepney cover of my Victa fell off at a traffic junction. Manipal motors have done an excellent job. They call it complementary work while I claimed that it was to be done under warranty. Anyway, the point is that its beautifully done.

At this point of time I feel that the dealer should be blamed in this case. However, if the problem continues then the Manufacturer has to step in. In a way its the manufacturer's fault because they don't have a fool proof system of keeping a check on their dealers and the dealers take full advantage of the situation. As far as Tatas are concerned they are not bothered about their customers and to a great extent to their dealers as well. From my personal experience I have felt that they are only worried about their sales figures and targets & after that its each one for himself.

So long....

I did each and every thing you have mentioned above. I don't mind the tedium when it concerns my car, but what does one do ,when all these ways don't show results. Thats when I decided to put the facts about my car on all its sides in bold, only with the hope that Tatas would wake up from their slumber. On one such occassion my car happened to be at Vahan Yatra, and instead of the Co. coming to my rescue, we all know what they did to my car.

Like SUV said Tatas is a different Company. They are always right and can go any distance to prove the customer wrong. Nobody can second that better than me.

So long....
Hi Varun, I have been going through your posts on the thread. Its unbelievable what all you have gone through. Something one acquires for convenience can in fact become such an inconvenience!
And the attitude of the Tata's beats all reason. I have been thinking of the Xeta. Not any more.

You got me wrong there SUV. Ghostrider4385 read me right. I was reading the Protest against TATA's thread, which is what took me so long to answer.
Fighting alone is always a tedious task and one loses one's focus in moments of despair. This is another reason why I feel if Varun had other victims with him, together they just might have achieved more in less time. In any case, its unbelievable how a company as reputed as the Tata's can respond in such a high handed manner. If it were not for the customer, where would they be?

Tata is selling bug-free hmmm... free-bug cars

Just have a look at the following:

Like Indica Xeta GLG but our company recently purchased 2 GLG's and both had serious problems. Catalytic Converter of one car failed on 3rd day and other car's engine had to be replaced.

Source: Carwale.com

Like Carwale's expert I was too in impression that Xeta is engineered very well and is kinda bug-free, but hell they are giving bugs for free. Great going Tata...

on hearing abt the Fuel cut-off switch, i thought to myself....another Palio flame war is in the making.....but this time around, its the Indica.
@sidharth_j: man u stole the words right out of my mouth...if a 3L+ car falls apart like this, just think what would the 1L car be like?
OT:::: anyhow, i would advise everyone i know to stay away from the initial batch of Tata's 1L car. just like the initial Indicas, im pretty sure, its going to be tinbox of trouble. :::

Hmmm... Tatas are not endearing themselves much with us over here in this forum, now are they? well... here's a view of the other side of the coin. I was at their dealership yesterday. They are apparently training a few more of their mechs on Petrol and shifting some sales guy over to Xeta section. The reason? Apparently they are selling so many Xetas over the past two months that they feel that they need to augment their "petrol specialists"! Go figure...
