Thanks for the update ZENREN. And as you mentioned, he is the typical Indian buyer who just go and book a swift. That said the only issue he has now that the swift is too common sight. Though I have advised him for the i10 Grand, he still hopes if he can able to get a slightly changed (may be stickers, change in lights etc) swift.

In that case, he should be able to get enough discounts to cover for the cost of accessorizing the car by being willing to buy a 2013 petrol variant at the end of the year.

If 2008 facelift is anything to go by, the tail lights, wheel caps and rear bumper were the most obvious changes on the outside. Others were very subtle for the common eye to catch.

If he wants his swift to look different and might be changing the lights and fitting alloys, it might not be easily identifiable from the outside if his swift was a pre-facelift model.

Yes you are very true. I think I shall advise him to go for the maximum discount and some good aftermarket accessories. Even when he saves money I am going to get bigger treat

Re: 2014 Suzuki Swift Facelift Revealed

If you guys need to suggest few key changes in Swift to Maruti, what would those be? I am asking as we all agree on one point that minor feature upgrade and launch a 'so called' new car has been a trend.

My default choice is Swift ZDi/ZXi and additional features (that are currently missing and I would want MS to add) are:
1. Retractable Mirrors
2. Bluetooth Audio system
3. Dual tone dashboard (from Swift Dzire)
4. Parking sensors and reverse camera (screen) on IRVM (from igen-i20)
All these and am ok if MS charges 20k extra for them

1) Dual tone interiors
2) Key less entry (i10 grand has).
3) Bit more space in rear and more comfortable rear seats.
4) Electricaly foldable mirrors.
5) 100+ bhp sports edition.

There you go! My small list for the Z variants!

1) Retain the all black interiors as is (Please!). But need more cubbyholes on the inside.
2) Split rear seats.
3) Remote boot lock/ unlock on the keyfob. Better rubber for the buttons too.
4) Toll receipt holder on the inside of A pillar
5) Ground clearance of 165 mm (purely from an aesthetic point of view).
6) Better paint quality.
7) Increase thickness of sheet metal for the doors.
8) Bluetooth for ICE
9) Softer brake pads with more feel.
10) Better plastic for wiper and indicator stalks. And intermittent speed adjust for the wiper.
11) More information in through the MID. White light for the Instrument cluster
12) Extra bolstering around natural grip points on the steering wheel.
13) Power windows could do with some more power.
14) Powerful fog lights.
15) Make the ECM less intrusive.
16) Black headlights

Retain everything else as is. And definitely more colors needed.

1. A dead pedal on the footwell.

2. Anti-pinch protection for all the power windows just like the Polo/Vento.

3. 60:40 rear split seats.

4. A better and wider IRVM. The present IRVM is too small.

5. An armrest for the front. If not a central one for both the front passengers, at least for the driver seat like the foldable ones on the i20/Ecosport.

6. A boot lamp?

7. Phone connectivity through Bluetooth (with A2DP) for the stock ICE, if it isn't too much to ask.

A wider IRVM is not going to be of much use. The tiny rear windshield doesn't offer much visibility anyways. And boot lamp is already there in Z variants.

Dead pedal will be very welcome. Missed it in my list.

I should have been more specific. I meant for all the models - L and V included. Why keep an essential utility exclusive for the higher end variants? Something like the climate controlled AC is understandable.

The Suzuki Swift Sport get a dedicated and very racy engine; a 1.6 with 136hp and 160nm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Swift Sport comes with an aggressive grille and sporty alloys.

Any chance for a launch in India? Would love to have one.

The first pic is of regular Swift, not the Sport. Anyway, this is already on sale in SE Asia, Europe etc.

The first picture is the old generation!

I like the Kizashi inspired grille of the one shared by vaisakhr. Good chance of that making it here. Even the face lifted Ritz got the same treatment.
