Didnt realize this rare vehicle made it into TBhp ... A few months ago I was overtaken, rather shooed off the NH but a monstor - turned out to be this SUV but in a Special Avatar.

The one I saw was a solid white TN-Chennai regn MU7, with Yokohoma 31"*10" (offroading spec) tyres and a pretty sexy Matt Black Rims. It had the runing partys' flag up front and was driving like a maniac - but WOW the sheer presence of that SUV in those 31" tyres with -Ve offset rims (Tyres popped out of body line) was drool maal.

Sadly I dont have a pic, but if any Chennai person ever spots that car please post it here!!

Do we have any ownership reports/reviews of the MU7 here in team-bhp, any owners in here? Hows the Isuzu experience?

More Isuzu and MU-7 news - Production capacity at Sri City plant to go up to 1,20,000 units from 2016.

This report says "newly launched MU-7" (an event in Kolkata recently).

Source:Indian Express Bangalore edition, 11 June 2015 - Link

Can we expect an MU-7 official Team-BHP review anytime soon ?

There is a reason why the Indian Express is slowly disappearing. The picture is clearly of a D-Max and Isuzu is put a huge sign in the front so that the Indian Express journalist doesn't get confused, but apparently they did..

I checked this today , we picked 2 Trucks and these are running without any issues as expected . Not due for service yet but I expect this to be reasonable .

Yes they have some Grand plans for Indian market , we should have a 4 x 4 crewcab by early next Year and new generation MU-7 little later . They are in process of setting up dealership / workshops across country simultaneously setting up their own factory .

Honestly after looking at the Isuzu website I guessed the price of the car at around 10 lakhs and thought it would be a good competitor to Force 1. But at 24 lakhs ? . That's funny for sure. The Fortuner, Pajero, Endeavor and Trailblazer will eat it for lunch .

Despite the 80's interiors and only 2WD version costing more than a 4WD Fortuner or the Pajero Sport, they manage to sell about 100 pieces a month. I wonder who the buyers are? Maybe they go by the size??

You can see a lot of it in Chennai especially around the suburbs.

The size is huge and the interiors aren't too bad. The MU 7 would be ckmfortable even in the third row.

They seem to be gaining a reputation for reliability. I spoke to a D Max owner and he was impressed with the vehicle .
