Yesterday, I saw a black Rapid with the new Skoda logo; it did not have any green on it and looked like the following uploaded image.

Also, instead of having the usual 'TDI' badge on the left, and 'Rapid' badge on the right of the boot, it had a 'Skoda' badge on the left, and a 'Rapid' badge on the right, and 'TDI' badge just below the 'Rapid' badge. On driving ahead, I saw that it had the 'Prestige' badge on the front left hand side.

I guess this is the new badging and logo that they will have for the face-lifted version. I'm assuming all Prestige cars had the same styling.

Seems like there have been 2 Facelifts for Rapid this year.
Though I am clueless about the rationale behind the same, I am still happy with it.
First facelift was wherein only the following changed -
  1. On Front Grille - New Skoda Logo
  2. On Rear - New Skoda Logo
  3. On Rear - Skodo Name replacing the erstwhile TDI/MPI model version
  4. On Rear - New RAPID Name replacing the previous RAPID name (it was kind of italics earlier)
  5. On Rear - Model Version (TDI/MPI) being placed Below the Boot Lock.
  6. Inside - MY14 design Steering Wheel with New Skoda Logo

Second Facelift - Popularly known as MY14 Rapid
Apart from the above changes, new features were also introduced like -
  • Projector Headlamps
  • HU with USB
  • Steering Mounted Controls
  • Bluetooth Integration
  • MID in mid-variant (Ambition Plus)
  • Passenger Side Airbag in mid-variant (Ambition Plus)

to name a few.
