Wow Can folks sense sarcasm? This entirely was a joke and here you go our great media who actually put it on their website?

For all you folks out there listening to our english news channels, i am sorry to break your bubble but you need better sources for your news.

I believe it was just a face-saving measure after their 'India Special'. Top Gear is a scripted show.

That was a scripted demolition derby just for entertainment. It was not a review or test by any means. Pity that article by IBN.

Really stupid of the Indian media to take this seriously. It was just some humour and nothing else. Among those cars, that Merc would have easily won whatever the conditions.

Well, i guess our media and considering how it is a hog for sensationalism, this news makes it on the site. Guess these people don't have a word called "sarcasm" in their dictionary and ended up looking at that review as a tribute to the old car. news chaps with no jobs + internet = joke of a news like these. Looks like even good journalism is going to be hard to come by in the coming days.

Don't they know some of the top gear rules? Any alfa-romeo automatically makes it to the cool wall, Stigs are raised in farms and grow rapidly, all bendy buses should be taken off the streets of London and that Dacia Sandero is the most expected car in Britain!!

Make no mistake, I am an avid fan of TG and have watched each episode till the 19th season, and believe it is one of the best 'entertainment motoring show' (if such a genre exists).

But taking TG on face value is sheer ignorance or not knowing what sarcastic / deprecating humor is.

This is a classic clueless piece from PTI - they have no idea about what TopGear means. Everybody else from Ibnlive to Toilet paper of India to The Hindu just picked it up from PTI and printed it.
