That I doubt. If big brother Ciaz wont get, I doubt its siblings will. Thats what has been making me look twice. As per my assumption, I thought that the Ciaz will get the new set of features followed by the Swift and Dzire since they had to make it exclusive to the Ciaz first. But since Ciaz doesnt get cruise control, I doubt other cars will get. Perhaps the same logic was followed and these cars will get cruise control only after the S-Cross is launched.

re: Team-BHP SCOOP: Maruti Ciaz / YL1. Scoop Pics on Page 99

For my enthusiastic driving, I'm going to re-work one of the two diesel Swifts currently doing staid city service for the last 7 and 5 years, so that one can hit the backroads with oomph. Meanwhile, for the more relaxed and steady city driving and maybe longer out-station good road hauls, the Ciaz petrol I've booked should do the trick. In both cases, it is going to be two persons and maybe a dog along for company. There is a lot to say on why I booked a Ciaz, after first booking a Rapid and then withdrawing, but the main reason is the Maruti service network as well as the VFM low price I am expecting for those who have booked in advance.

Good review, short & crisp. Lastly the reviewer says, it has "Very tempting price"

So does he mean it will be priced very aggressively? Or he has some idea that it will be priced at very attractive price. Good to hear that. Others should be worried by this for sure. I am expecting Maruti to start pricing between 6.69 - 6.99 L ex showroom Delhi. That will be killer pricing for the segment.

Hey guys just booked the Ciaz ZDi+.
Wanted advice on which colour should I go for: Pearl Snow White or Glistening Gray?
Personally I like the Pearl Midnight Black but I have heard that scratches and marks are visible easily and its harder to maintain.
Please help

Thanks.

congratulations on booking your car both the colours are nice, but my vote would be for the white (personal choice). white is a timeless colour and suits our Indian conditions best in terms of being easy to maintain. that said the gray also looks nice and shouldnt be too difficult to maintain either.

from personal experience, if you cant decide, ask your wife (if you are married ofcourse) you can never go wrong there

If they had an LXI in the lineup, the starting price could have been ~6.59-6.69L, and that would have been a scorcher. But since the lineup starts with a very well-loaded VXI, my predictions for the prices are:

VXI = 7.09L,

VXI+ = 7.79L,

ZXI = 8.39L,

ZXI+ = 8.89L,

VDI = 7.99L,

VDI+ = 8.69L,

ZDI = 9.29L,

ZDI+ = 9.79L.

(keeping the engine specs and the features on offer in mind)

That should keep them competitive enough to take on the likes of the City & the Verna, plus making the Fiesta, Linea & Vento equally uneasy. Of course, if actual launch prices turn out to be lower than the above, all the more delightful for Ciaz's prospects and prospective customers.

The Ciaz would have looked a lot better without those chrome slats. But perhaps, the target buyers of the segment prefers chrome.

I've booked mine in beige. And also been informed that costs of fast moving consumables are the same as that for other cars in the Maruti-Suzuki range so the Ciaz should be a low-maintenance cost car too.

Though I do wish they had push-button start and two airbags in the VXi+ version!!
